Today I’m coming at you with another makeup tutorial, as quite a few you you guys have asked me to do more of these. This eye makeup look is my go-to look on those days when I need to get ready in a hurry and I don’t have time to think about what shades I want to use and which shades work well together. This is my ‘comfort zone look’ because I know all the colours I use for this eye makeup look, work really well together.
This look is a neutral eyeshadow look with pops of gold on the inner half of the lid, and with a stunning coppery bronze shade fading out towards the outer lid area.
For this tutorial I’m only using 1 eyeshadow palette – the Stila In The Light palette. BUT. You don’t necessarily have to own this palette to recreate the look, if you have similar shades at home then you can most definitely use those shades. I do describe the shades as I apply them, so you are covered if you feel you want to go to the shops to pick up a couple of eyeshadows. I have had this palette from Stila for about 2 years now, and it is one of my most-reached-for palettes because it contains the perfect mix of both matte and shimmer shades (plus it also contains the cult favourite – Kitten). You can buy the Stila In The Light palette on Spree, Kalahari, Rubybox, Zando, Woolworths and Truworths for R 435,00 (a bargain for 10 eyeshadows).
Here are a couple of close-up photos of the eye makeup look:
