Happy Spring Day, everyone!
Another day, another unboxing! I’ve mentioned this previously here on the blog, I am such a fan of these surprise lifestyle boxes! It’s like receiving a lucky packet or a Christmas present, because you have no idea what’s inside! Lingerie Letters has been on my radar for quite some time (I think I followed them on Twitter at the beginning of 2015 already) but for some reason I just never got round to signing up for their subscription service. Now…I know what you’re thinking: “Subscription service? No thanks, I don’t want to be a slave to recurring monthly subscription fees.”. I totally get where you’re coming from, and to be honest, the thought also crossed my mind when I first logged on to their website. I have good news, though! But I’ll explain everything a bit later in the blog post…
First things first – what is Lingerie Letters? Well, it’s a subscription service that sends a beautiful pair of handmade panties (you can choose the style i.e. briefs or thong) straight to your door each month. What I like about Lingerie Letters, is that their undergarments are handmade in South Africa (none of that cheap & scratchy ‘Made In China’ nonsense). Every month brings something new – a new design, a new colour combo…so you’ll never receive the same pair of panties twice!
How does it work? You can choose between 2 options – you can sign up for a subscription service (month-to-month), this means you’ll pay R149,00 per month (recurring, until you opt out) to receive your lingerie parcel. OR you can sign up for a gift (either for yourself or a friend), and this is a once-off cost of R149,00 (there are other gifting options available too i.e. 3-month and even a 6-month option, with discounted prices). I don’t know about you, but R149,00 for a pair of handmade knickers (and free delivery) is a pretty darn good price!
When will I receive my Lingerie Letter? If you sign up before 12pm on the 15th of the current month, Lingerie Letters will deliver your parcel around the 15th of the following month. If you sign up after 12pm on the 15th of the current month, they will deliver your knickers around the 15th of the month thereafter. So, try to sign up before 12pm and before the 15th of the month! For more info on their service, take a look at their FAQ section here.
Do yourself a favour and go check out their photo gallery, you’ll be able to see some of their previous designs / styles – how cute is the October 2013 pair!? And how comfy does the June 2013 pair look?
A couple of weeks ago Lingerie Letters got in contact with me and asked if they could send me a few of their handmade panties to feature on the blog. I was keen to ‘test’ their products, mainly because I wanted to introduce you (my readers) to this rather unique subscription service. I’m not going to go into too much detail about each item I received, because it almost feels like I’m showing you my knickers or you’re going through my underwear drawer…which is kinda true, but also not really. Wow, this is getting real awkward, real quick…
Anyway, I received 3 pairs of briefs (I’m not a thong girl) and I can honestly say every single one of them is made with love and care. The fabric feels soft (even the lace, which we all know can sometimes feel a bit scratchy), the seams are perfect, and each design is fun & different (yet comfy too). My favourite pair is the black & white one with the bow details on each side – it’s so cute and girly. I also received a full black & nude lace pair, as well as these black seashell knickers.
Sizes run from XS (Extra Small) up to XXL (Extra Extra Large), and are true to size. I usually wear a medium, and all three fit me perfectly.
I’ve already decided I’m signing up for the October pair, because I think it’s going to be super girly (with it being Breast Cancer Awareness month) – fingers crossed I’ll find a pink pair in my parcel!
Lingerie Letters Promo: If you sign up for a monthly recurring subscription before 12pm on the 15th of September 2016, you will receive a complimentary Missoni EDP sample with your first Lingerie Letter in October.
I’m not fibbing, I honestly didn’t know who or what Missoni was until Lingerie Letters asked if I would like to collaborate with them on this giveaway. As it turns out, Missoni is a high-end Italian fashion house, known for its colourful knitwear designs. They recently launched a new fragrance for women, called Missoni EDP – it represents the various shades of a woman’s soul and is dedicated to a sensual, exuberant woman whose femininity truly stands out (this makes it the perfect scent to accompany your October Lingerie Letter if you ask me). I only have a tiny sample of this fragrance, but I’m already in love! It’s floral and fruity, with a subtle woody base. Top notes include pear and a trio of Italian citruses (bergamot, lemon and citron). Heart notes include jasmine, and Petalia (a molecule that smells like rose / peony). And base notes include sandalwood, tonka bean and ambroxan. It’s so difficult for me to describe fragrances, but trust me, Missoni EDP smells incredible!
Now for the EXCITING part – today is Spring Day, and I’m pretty sure a lot of ladies will be giving their wardrobe and underwear drawer a good spring cleaning soon! So, Lingerie Letters have organised an amazing prize for one lucky Pink Peonies blog reader. The winner of this giveaway will receive a 100ml Missoni Eau De Parfum (valued at R1475,00), as well as Lingerie Letters’ Spring themed knickers (valued at R149,00).
Just so you know, this is one of those situations where I am super jealous of the winner – because my Missoni EDP sample vials are already empty, and I would love to add the full sized fragrance to my collection. How gorgeous is that bottle?
To enter, all you have to do is complete your chosen entries via the Rafflecopter widget below. Simple and easy!
Important: If you are not sure how to use the widget below, take a look at this blog post (I cover a ‘How To’ towards the end of the post).

So I’ve added another option for you to RETWEET my giveaway tweet (the one with the photo). See below:
♥ This giveaway is open to South African residents only.

♥ All entries will be checked and any false entries will be removed.
P.S. I’m not a Lingerie Letters affiliate, thus I make absolutely no money from sales or signups. I just thought this was the perfect opportunity for my readers to experience the Lingerie Letters service, and the dreamy Missoni EDP fragrance.
