The TMI Tag

I was tagged by the lovely Nicole from Princess Noo to do this tag.  I hope you guys enjoy getting to know me a bit better!

♥ 1.  What are you wearing?

My super trendy Woolworths pajamas (I work from home so on some days I just work in my PJs).

♥ 2. Ever been in love?

Oh, yes…

♥ 3. Ever had a terrible breakup?

Aren’t all breakups terrible at the time?  To be honest, I haven’t had a whole lot of boyfriends – Neal was actually my first serious boyfriend and we only started going out when I was 26 (yes, I am a late bloomer).

♥ 4. How tall are you?

I only know my height in meters – 1,82m.

♥ 5. How much do you weigh?

A lady never reveals her weight…or is it age?  I forget…

♥ 6. Any tattoos?

No, I have played around with the idea but haven’t actually decided whether I want to get one.  If I do get one, it will be something like this:

♥ 7. Any piercings?

I have ear piercings & a belly button piercing.  I used to have a tragus ring and a nose ring but that didn’t last very long – haha!

♥ 8. OTP? (One True Pairing)

Gin & Tonic?  Wimpy Cheese burger & chips?

♥ 9. Favourite show?

I can’t only choose one, but at the moment: The Walking Dead, The Blacklist, True Detective, Elementary & The Following.

♥ 10. Favourite bands?

30 Seconds To Mars & Queen (there are obviously others but these are the first 2 that came to mind).

♥ 11. Something you miss?

Visiting my granny.

♥ 12. Favourite song?

Barcelona by Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballé – gives me goosebumps every single time!

♥ 13.  How old are you?

31 – meh…

♥ 14. Zodiac sign?

I’m an Aquarius.

♥ 15. Quality you look for in a partner?

A kind soul.

♥ 16.  Favourite Quote?

“To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.

♥ 17. Favourite actor?

Anthony Hopkins & Kevin Spacey (can’t choose – sorry).

♥ 18. Favourite color?

Come now…obviously PINK.

♥ 19. Loud music or soft?

If it’s music I play – LOUD; if it’s music someone else plays and it kinda sucks – very, very soft.  I’m not inconsiderate, though, so I usually listen to my music using my headphones.

♥ 20. Where do you go when you’re sad?

Shopping or I watch an episode of my favourite series.

♥ 21.  How long does it take you to shower?

Depends if I wash my hair, shave, use a scrub and / or use my in-shower body moisturiser – probably between 15 and 20 minutes.

♥ 22.  How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

If I’m doing my hair (curling / blow drying) & makeup, probably over an hour.  I have been known to take up to 2 hours – eeeek!

♥ 23. Ever been in a physical fight?

Only with my brother when I was waaaaay younger (but I never started it).

♥ 24. Turn on?

Sense of humour, intelligence & a kind soul.

♥ 25. Turn off?

Bad hygiene & narrow-mindedness.

♥ 26. The reason I started a blog?

I always adored reading reviews or looking at blog posts that were beautiful (in terms of photos and writing), and that motivated me to create something that I could be proud of.  I wanted to share my knowledge & experiences with anyone who would take the time to read my posts.

♥ 27. Fears?

The ocean, death, lightning & bats (in that order).

♥ 28.  Last thing that made you cry?

A person.

♥ 29. Last time you said you loved someone?

Last night about 2 seconds before I fell asleep.

♥ 30. Meaning behind your blog name?

Pink is my favourite colour and peonies are my absolute favourite flowers.  Peonies are a scarce commodity in South Africa.  Peonies were going to be the main flowers used in our wedding flower arrangements & my bridal bouquet back in February 2012 – our wedding florist was going to import them from Europe.  Unfortunately the 2011/2012 Winter in Europe was so cold that no peonies were available for import.  I found this out two weeks before our wedding… Needless to say I was SUPER freaked out – finding out the wedding flowers you had dreamed about for so long were not going to be part of your wedding is very stress-inducing to say the least.  Anyway, we used what was available to us and in the end it was the perfect wedding.  Anyway, so pink = favourite colour; and peonies = favourite flowers (and also a thorn in my side).

♥ 31.  Last book you read?

‘The World’s Ten Most Evil Men’.  No, I don’t have issues with men but I do like to read about serial killers & sociopaths.

♥ 32. The book you’re currently reading?

I recently started with ‘Murderous Men’ but I don’t have much time on my hands to read at the moment (it’s something I need to work on).

♥ 33. Last show you watched?

♥ 34.  Last person you talked to?

Neal (my husband).

♥ 35. The relationship between you and the person you last texted?

♥ 36. Favourite food?

Salad (no really, I love salad).

♥ 37.  Place you want to visit?

New York & Paris.

♥ 38.  Last place you were?

On holiday?  Sea Point (Cape Town).

♥ 39.  Do you have a crush?

Yes, his name is Mr. Darcy (Pride & Prejudice).  *blush*

♥ 40.  Last time you kissed someone?

Last night.  Neal kisses me on the cheek every morning because I’m usually still asleep when he leaves for work.

♥ 41. Last time you were insulted?

Last week.

♥ 42.  Favourite flavour of sweet?

Sour (like sherbet sweeties) or fiery cinnamon (like Fireballs).

♥ 43. What instruments do you play?

I used to play the piano, not anymore though.

♥ 44.  Favourite piece of jewellery?

My engagement ring.

♥ 45.  Last sport you played?

I’m not the sporty type…

♥ 46.  Last song you sang?

Demi Lovato Medley by Sara Skinner & Kurt Schneider (it’s seriously amazing, take a look below):

♥ 47.  Favourite chat up line?

I think they are SO cheesy…

♥ 48.  Have you ever used it?

No, I’m not a cheese ball.

♥ 49.  Last time you hung out with anyone?

My aunt visited us last week, so I hung out with her.  This past weekend was spent indoors sorting out blog stuff, so I mostly hung out with my furry children (Neal was in Sabie for the MTN National Mountain Bike Series).

Lolled at your answer to no. 8! I am the same, Luzanne, I love to read books about murders. I majored in Psychology so I am intrigued by the human mind and why we do the things we do.

    • 24 February 2014 / 13:21

Wow, I wanted to be a Psychologist for a while but it’s such a difficult field to get into. Thank you so much for popping onto the blog, Zee! 🙂

I enjoyed reading this Luzanne! I love getting to know you a bit more…reading this makes me feel like we are sitting at a coffee shop chit chatting. Haha!

I don’t have any tattoos, but I always said if I did get one it would be on my foot. Now, I don’t think I have to courage to do so…but who knows.

    • 9 March 2014 / 11:15

Wouldn’t it be awesome to be able to go for a coffee some time? I would love meeting you in person, Lily! xxx

Same here, I have an ok pain threshold but I don’t think I’d be able to handle the pain for a long period of time..

  9. 25 February 2014 / 07:19

Loved the post. Don’t worry, you are not alone with the late bloomer – I met JP when I was 24 (I had not dated anyone before him) we worked together so we didn’t date. It was difficult because I really liked him so much. Then 2 years later we started dating. I actually love the fact that the first man I fell in love with is going to be the only man I love for the rest of my life 🙂

    • 9 March 2014 / 11:17

Aaah that sounds so sweet, Charlene!! Neal and I worked together when I was 19 / 20 and I completely ignored him (bless his soul), we lost touch after I found another job and then he found me on Facebook yeeeeaaaaars later.

I guess you can say it was meant to be… 🙂

  10. 28 February 2014 / 09:08

Loved reading your answers. So funny to read Neal kisses you on the cheek in the morning. My husband does the same. I am also usually still pretty much asleep when he leaves.
    Great, fun post.
