Products Popping Up – April 2014

It’s time for my ‘New Products Launching’ blog post but I’ve decided to change the name of the series to ‘Products Popping Up’ because I like the sound of all those popping P’s.

In short, the blog posts in this series are a type of beauty report whereby I show you guys a couple of products or collections that will be launching in that specific month.  This blog post covers the month of April and I have some very exciting products to reveal, so let’s get to it!

First up is something I am very excited about, the Wet n Wild Mega Slicks Balm Stains.  Now you can amp up your lips with one stick for a kissable pout in no time.  To keep your pucker perfect, these new lip balm stains glide on smoothly while conditioning the lips.  Enriched with Acai Palm Oil, this amazing formula forms a protective shield on the lips to prevent feathering.  Complete with six great shades and continuous moisture, the formula leaves the lips with a unique minty, cooling sensation.  These balm stains will retail for R 44,95 each at selected Clicks stores.

Hand Chemistry is also launching this month.  Hand Chemistry contains Biological GHK complex which proved more effective than collagen in reducing wrinkles, decreasing wrinkle depth by 15%. This hand cream also contains a biotechnological derivative of the mushroom, Tremella Fuciformis Sporocap which has shown to be 400 x more moisturising than Hyaluronic Acid, will help to combat loss of moisture during the colder months ahead. Furthermore, skin moisture content can be increased by 11% in just 12 hours thanks to the inclusion of an algae ferment, this incredible increase equates to 21% in 24 hours and 32% in 30 days.  Dark spots are lightened by Plantago Lanceolata (also contained in this hand cream).  I was sent this hand cream for possible review & I have to say, I’m pretty excited to give it a go this Winter.  I have read some great international reviews, and it apparently delivers quite well on its promises.  Hand Chemistry will retail for R 300,00 at selected Clicks stores.

The Body Shop is launching their Raspberry Body Collection during April.  This collection will include a body butter, a shower gel and a body scrub.  Did you know?  The raspberries are picked that little earlier in order to preserve their skin boosting and protecting antioxidants.  These are special edition and will only be available at The Body shop stores for a limited time.  From what I have read online, this collection apparently smells delectable and the body scrub looks (and smells) exactly like raspberry jam – yum!  The Raspberry Body Butter will retail for R 99,00; the Raspberry Shower Gel will retail for R 60,00 and the Raspberry Body Scrub will retail for R 90,00 at The Body Shop stores.

Turquoise Studio is launching the Born To Be Collection from Sigma Beauty this month – and this is something I am also super excited about because Turquoise Studio now makes purchasing Sigma Beauty makeup brushes and makeup products SO easy.  I used to pay a fortune in shipping and duties when I ordered Sigma brushes off the Sigma website back in the day and I am ecstatic to see Turquoise Studio is stocking their products.  I won’t go into too much detail about Turquoise Studio at this stage because I have a review blog post coming up soon.  The Born To Be Collection includes an array of products with an unexpected colour combination of urban chic and modern edge perfect for the transition from day-to-night.  This collection contains an eye shadow palette, three lip glosses, three eye liners, one blush and one lip concealer.  Just look at the stunning shades in the palette below!

The eyeshadow palette called ‘Smoke Screen’ will retail for R 575,00; the lipglosses will retail for R 185,00 each, the lip concealer will retail for R 300,00; the eye pencils will retail for R 189,00 each & the blush will retail for R 250,00.

Two new products from Fountain will be launching in April too – these are available at selected Clicks stores.  I was very lucky to have been sent these 2 products and I am VERY excited to give them a go, since I have never dabbled with anything like this before.

The Beauty Molecule brings legend to life, containing the potent beauty molecule, Resveratrol, which is found in grape skins and Japanese knotweed.  Resveratrol is known for its ability to literally slow down and delay the ageing process, and now it is available in liquid form.  Taking just one spoonful of Fountain daily delays the ageing process from the inside out.  Resveratrol actively encourages the replication of normal cells within the body causing cells to divide at a slower pace which extends the life span of cells and delays ageing.  Fountain includes the highly potent antioxidant, Black Carrot, as well as the superstar of anti-ageing, Hyaluronic Acid.  Natural pomegranate adds to the sweet flavour of this supplement.  The Beauty Molecule will retail for R 300,00 at selected Clicks stores.

The Hyaluronic Molecule contains the anti-ageing wonder, Hyaluronic Acid that is famed for its ability to hold 1000 times its weight in water (you guys know I have mentioned HA on the blog before here).  The Hyaluronic Molecule lubricates and cushions joints and provides a natural support structure to the dermis.  As the body loses its natural Hyaluronic Acid joints are prone to stiffness and the skin becomes dehydrated. Fountain counteracts this process by encouraging your body to hold on to its natural moisture, replenishing from the inside out.  This incredible elixir hydrates the internal tissue cushioning the joints and leaves you feeling more hydrated than ever.  A hint of ginger improves absorption and adds to the flavour, this supplement  is also perfect for the Winter months ahead, as the cold dry air usually robs us of the moisture in our skin.  The Hyaluronic Molecule will retail for R 300,00 at selected Clicks stores.

Decléor is also launching a new collection this month – the Aroma Lisse & Aromessence collection.  A combination of perfectly balanced essential- and plant oils to meet the needs of every skin type.  Products are 100% natural, preservative-free and with dry touch textures.  An ultra-precise blend of Essential Oils combined for their specific cutaneous and olfactory properties, Decléor AROMESSENCE products are unique 100% pure, 100% natural and preservative-free serums used for daily beauty steps.  Adapted to the needs of the skin and the moment, they boast a fine and silky texture and act as true beauty boosting serums before application of an adapted day care product.

Aromessence Mandarine Serum – specifically draws on Mandarin essential oil to prevent the first signs of ageing and correct fine lines and wrinkles while ensuring a deep skin hydration thanks to Hazelnut and Sunflower Oils.  Camellia Oil helps to reveal an even and radiant skin tone and the uplifting Citrus scent creates an invigorated experience on application.  This serum will retail for R 695,00 at selected beauty salons and Woolworths, Truworths, Foschini stores, as well as online at Zando, Rubybox & The Spa Shop.

Aroma Lisse Energising Smoothing Cream SPF15 – this light and illuminating cream protects the skin from environmental aggressions, UVA and UVB rays.  Galanga Extract helps to enhance the skin’s Hyaluronic Acid production to smooth and reduce fine lines while Ginseng Extract instantly tones and visibly brightens the skin, eliminating signs of fatigue.  This day cream will retail for R 795,00 at selected beauty salons and Woolworths, Truworths, Foschini stores, as well as online at Zando, Rubybox & The Spa Shop.

Aromessence Mandarine Smoothing Night Balm – is a fine texture balm that intensively regenerates the skin at night using Evening Primrose Plant Oil and Shea Butter while Cupuacu Butter provides optimal hydration. The antioxidant powers of Mandarin Essential Oil help to visibly smooth wrinkles and create a luminous skin finish.  This will be available in a 15ml and 30ml jar & will retail for R 495,00 and R 895,00 respectively at selected beauty salons and Woolworths, Truworths, Foschini stores, as well as online at Zando, Rubybox & The Spa Shop.

Aroma Lisse 2-In-1 Dark Circle And Eye Wrinkle Eraser – corrects and brightens to deliver optimal results. The correcting action smoothes and fills fine lines and wrinkles.  The unique gel-cream texture contains illuminating yellow pigments to counteract dark circles alongside Yeast Extract while Ruscus Extract limits the appearance of dark circles.  The innovative design of the silicone wand allows for ease of application.  This eye cream will retail for R 495,00 at selected beauty salons and Woolworths, Truworths, Foschini stores, as well as online at Zando, Rubybox & The Spa Shop.

I will definitely be picking up a little somethin’-somethin’ from Turquoise Studio, a couple of the Wet n Wild balm stains, as well as the Raspberry Body Scrub.  Do you have your eye on any of these products?

I must have that eyeshadow palette, wow! I never knew about Turquoise Studio before today, Luzanne. Have you bought from them before?

    • 1 April 2014 / 21:52

It is a very stunning eyeshadow palette – I’m about to place an order with them actually because I want to get one of the Sigma Beauty eyeshadow palettes but I can’t decide between this specific one and the ‘Warm Neutrals’ palette (that one is just as gorgeous). I also need a Z Palette for the MAC eyeshadows that I still need to depot. AND I also want to try some of the new Sigma makeup brushes…

Turquoise Studio sent me a Sigma Beauty F80 Kabuki brush last week for review on the blog – I already know I love the brush because I have been using the F80 for more than a year (I ordered my old one off the Sigma website). But I will still do a full review on the brush and will then mention what my ordering process was like. Will probably place my order tonight or tomorrow. 🙂

    • 1 April 2014 / 21:44

I’m thinking of doing some type of review on the blog on the Fountain supplements but it’s always a bit difficult to pin point exactly how a certain supplements has changed the way you feel / look (because there are so many other external elements that can have an effect on one’s body). I’m still thinking about how I can go about doing a blog post…

Thank you for commenting, Melissa! 🙂
