Products Popping Up – March 2015

New Products Launching March 2015

At the risk of sounding like everyone else – can you BELIEVE it is March already?  It feels like so much time has passed since I was in hospital, and yet it has only been about 10 weeks.  Funny how the mind and body works…my scars have healed completely and when I think back on the whole ‘experience’, I can’t really recall how intense the pain was.  I remember the pain was excruciating, but can’t remember what the actual pain physically felt like.  I guess the mind does this to protect & keep us from being in constant fear of the pain we experienced.  Worst is, I’ll probably have to go back to have the same surgery in a couple of years’ time…

Enough about that, though!  March 2015 is a very special month for me because I celebrate 2 wonderful years of blogging – and to include you in the celebrations, I’ve lined up 4 GIVEAWAYS (1 each week).  In case you missed my first Blog Birthday Giveaway (and would still like to enter), check out this blog post.

There are new products & collections launching this month, a few of which I am really excited about!  Let’s take a look below, shall we?

Essence I Love Nude Eyeshadows

Essence is launching some great new products this month, there are too many to mention in this one blog post but these ones piqued my interest.  Essence products are available at selected Clicks & Dis-Chem stores.

I ♥ Nude Eyeshadow (R 47,95 each) – Available in 6 different shades ranging from subtle beige, to rose to soft brown.  The baked texture of the new eyeshadow range offers a silky matte finish.

Essence Brow Products

How To Make Brows Wow Makeup Box (R 115,50) – Perfect eyebrows are THE ultimate trend.  This kit contains everything you need to get those brows into shape: 3 different brow powders, a highlighter powder, an applicator and mini set of tweezers.  Ideal for beginners , the kit also includes a mirror and a styling card (step-by-step instructions).

Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel (R 47,95) – Colour, density and shape!  This tinted brow gel contains tiny fibers that fill in any unwanted gaps for beautifully defined and full eyebrows.  Available in 2 shades: Brunette & blonde.

Essence I Love Nude Lipsticks

Longlasting Lipstick Nudes (R 44,50 each) – Essence’s bestselling lipstick is now available in 5 gorgeous nude shades.

Essence I Love Trends The Nudes Nail Polishes

I ♥ Trends The Nudes Nail Polish (R 34,95) – Available in 8 colours ranging from light beige, to soft apricot, to rose.

Essence Studio Nails & Nail Caring Sponge Oil

Studio Nails Nail Care Pens (R 47,95 each) – Essence’s 3 nail care pens are available in a new design and with an improved formula.  The Cuticle Remover Pen with an innovative coated tip removes cuticles gently and effectively.  The Nail Care Pen pampers the nails with vitamin E and proteins.  The Nail Polish Corrector Pen allows you to accurately correct any small nail polish mistakes and comes with 3 spare tips.

Quick & Easy Sponge Nail Caring Oil (R 57,95) – Nail care in a flash!  The quick & easy sponge nail caring oil pampers nails and cuticles with Almond- & Argan oil and provides plenty of moisture without leaving behind an oily film.  Simply insert your finger in the opening of the sponge, twist and you’re done!

LOreal Blackbuster Miss Manga Punky

L’Oreal Miss Manga Punky Mascara (R 149,95) – Mega Volume texturising mascara for an intense spiky effect on top and bottom lashes.  The conical shape of the brush catches your top and bottom lashes. The large spaces between the bristles create a punky comb-like effect, that helps style your lashes into spikes.

L’Oreal Superliner Blackbuster Eyeliner (R 139,95) – An intense graphic eyeliner, with a striking black pigment that lasts for 8 hours.  Inspired to recreate a catwalk look, this is their thickest liner yet.

Stila Stay All Day Precision Glide Brow Pencil

Stila Stay All Day Precision Glide Brow Pencil (R 230,00) – Waterproof & longwearing brow pencil with spoolie brush provides a precise, yet natural-looking application.  Available in 5 shades ranging from blonde to black.

Stila Sculpt & Shape Custom Contour Duo

Stila Sculpt & Shape Custom Contour Duo (R 440,00) – This ultra creamy, super soft contour and highlight duo is the perfect contouring solution for all skin tones.  This velvety duo melts into the skin and provides a matte finish with soft focus, line-filling properties that instantly blur imperfections.  Available in 3 shade combinations (light, medium and deep).

Stila products are available at selected Woolworths & Truworths stores.  I also noticed this past weekend that Zando currently has the brow pencils in stock.

Garnier PureActive Wipes

Garnier PureActive 2-in-1 Purifying & Makeup Remover Wipes (R 39,95) – These PureActive wipes dissolve makeup (even waterproof) without the need to rub.  The active formula does not sting your eyes and doesn’t leave any oily residue on the skin.  Removes excess sebum from your pores and therefore helps prevent future imperfections.  Contains a mild concentration of Salicylic Acid, which gently removes dead skin cells, opens pores and increases cell turnover.  Available at Clicks, Dis-Chem, Foschini and other retail outlets.

LOccitane Whipped Shea

L’Occitane introduces their limited edition Shea Whipped collection, a light new texture that simply melts into the skin.  An exceptional shea butter formulation keeps this new texture as rich and nourishing as ever, while as soft and light as whipped egg whites (it reminds me of whipped cream – I love it!).  There couldn’t be a more delicious way to nourish dry skin.  L’Occitane products are available in the L’Occitane SA online store or at their boutiques listed here.

Shea Whipped Shower Foam (R 250,00) – Delightfully creamy, this shower foam with its unique whipped texture wraps the body in a soft cushion while gently cleansing the skin.  Enriched with shea, it leaves skin feeling supple and comfortable.

Shea Whipped Hand Cream (R 120,00) – This hand cream, with its surprising whipped texture and its high concentration of shea butter (25%), is incredibly smooth to help nourish, protect and soften the skin.

Shea Whipped Body Cream (R 340,00) – An innovative way of caring for the body, with the nourishing properties of a butter and the lightness of a mousse.  Similar to being wrapped in a soft cocoon, this whipped formula gently melts when applied, leaving skin supple and comfortable.

Bourjois Smoky Stories Palette

Bourjois is launching their Smoky Stories eyeshadow palettes this month.  Each palette features 3 harmonious eyeshadow shades to give a beautiful coordinated smoky eye.  Added to this, is ‘Light Touch’ (a new-generation, integrated topcoat), this transparent veil, containing coordinated glitter, gives a subtle light touch to the smoky look and illuminates, while preserving its colour.  There will be 4 palettes available in the range:  Grey & Night, Over Rose, Upside Brown and Ocean Obsession.  Each palette will retail for R 149,95 and will be available at selected Clicks stores nationwide.

Tangle Teezer Lulu Guiness

Retail Box will be stocking the new limited edition Tangle Teezer Lulu Guiness Compact Styler.  Bangers & mash.  Strawberries & cream. Macaroni & cheese.  Some couplings are just meant to be.  Tangle Teezer knew it would be a fashion and hair love-in with their exciting collaboration with accessories fashion designer, Lulu Guinness.  Both are British, quirky and iconic and Lulu’s cut out lips stripe design sits just perky on the Compact Styler.  Looking fashionably stylish, it’s a perfect accessory for your purse.  Whip out at a moment’s notice to brush wayward strands back into place or gently back-brush for insta-glam volume.  The Lulu Guiness Compact Styler will retail for R 260,00 and will be available in the Retail Box online store here.

Girlz Only Dry Shampoo

Dis-Chem recently started stocking a new dry shampoo range called Girlz Only.  In the range you will find everything ranging from normal dry shampoos, to brown & blonde dry shampoos and even a product called Dry Spray Conditioner (really excited to get my hands on this one!).  Girlz Only Dry Shampoo is a talc-based aerosol product which instantly breathes new life into dull, flat, greasy hair between washes leaving hair feeling clean & fresh and full of body and bounce.  It also has volumising properties and is suitable for all hair types.  Girlz Only Dry Shampoo & Dry Conditioner retail for R 39,95 each, available at Dis-Chem stores.

Crabtree & Evelyn Verbena And Lavender De Provence

Crabtree & Evelyn will be adding 3 new products to their existing Verbena & Lavender De Provence collection.  The 3 additions will be available in the Crabtree & Evelyn SA online store or in Crabtree & Evelyn stores nationwide (take a look at the store locator page here).  I don’t have the pricing of the products yet, but will update the blog post once I have received the prices.

Verbena & Lavender De Provence Daily Moisturising Shampoo – Restore your locks to optimum condition with the Daily Moisturising Shampoo.  Nourishing french lavender, french lemon extract and moisturising glycerine will leave hair clean with a healthy-looking shine and fragranced with a fresh, herbaceous scent reminiscent of the French countryside.  Formulated without Parabens, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

Verbena & Lavender De Provence Daily Moisturising Conditioner – Restore the natural beauty of cleansed hair with our Verbena and Lavender de Provence Daily Moisturising Conditioner.  Formulated with moisturising glycerine to leave hair soft, a blend of conditioning extracts to nourish the scalp and polymers to gently detangle, this product will leave hair richly conditioned with a shiny finish and fragranced with a fresh, herbaceous scent reminiscent of the French countryside.

Verbena & Lavender De Provence Body Cream – Formulated with moisturising shea butter and antioxidant-rich Vitamin E, the Verbena and Lavender de Provence Body Cream delivers deep hydration with a fresh, herbaceous fragrance.  Perfect for extra dry areas, this creamy, concentrated product offers a touch of indulgence with every use.

  24. Stephanie 4 March 2015 / 19:11

I can only blame SA bloggers for making me want to try more Essence products. I remember when Essence first started popping up in Clicks (not much of a selection back then) but def want to try their lipsticks now.
L’Occitane Shea Whipped is great, I got a sample of it recently of it. On my wishlist for a full size.
    Love these post Luzanne

    • Luzanne 5 March 2015 / 08:53

:) I remember when Essence had a tiny range of products, not much to work with back then & I must admit, I hardly ever bought their products. But now, it’s a completely different story!

The Shea Whipped is soooo goood, I love it! xo

  25. Carmen 4 March 2015 / 20:00

I love these popping up blogs. Definitely getting those lippies and nail polishes.

    • Luzanne 5 March 2015 / 08:54

They look fab, don’t they? I’ll also be picking up a few of the shades, especially with Autumn & Winter around the corner. 😉

  26. Olivia 11 March 2015 / 11:11

Ohhhh excited, have to get these products! Love your blog, its soon pretty, good to look at and so informative and fun! :-)

  27. Siobhan Hughes 15 September 2015 / 14:07

I actually tried those Girlz Only dry shampoos and they were HORRIFIC. I have tried every single dry shampoo that we get in SA, and this includes the Kardashian branded ones that were just launched (I won it in a hamper of their products from All Dolled Up). Batiste wins EVERY SINGLE TIME. It honestly is the best brand we have.
