Product Review – Balm Balm Relaxing Bath & Body Oil in Rose Geranium

Cassidy from The Green Glam Girl was kind enough to send me a few Balm Balm products.  I am an avid lover of Balm Balm products, not only because their products are organic but also because the products deliver – plain and simple.

Here’s a bit of background on Balm Balm: This is a family business based in the UK, created by a wife and husband (Glenda & Haydn).  Glenda is an aromatherapist, perfumer and natural formulation consultant and founded Balm Balm in 2005 as a result of her dream to create an affordable, 100% organic skincare range.  All Balm Balm products are 100% natural and 100% organic, these products are also packaged in recyclable material.  Add the fact that they do not test on animals and you’ve got a winner in my book!

Balm Balm South Africa is running a promo at the moment: You receive a FREE face balm when you purchase 2 or more Balm Balm products.  I’ll be doing a review on the face balm pretty soon, so stay tuned for that!

I’m going to start off with my absolute favourite from the bunch, I decided to dedicate a full post on this product since it has changed my life.  Yes, I said changed my life!

Balm Balm Relaxing Bath & Body Oil in Rose Geranium

What Balm Balm says:  Made from Rose Geranium, Mandarin, Lavender & Ylang Ylang pure essential oils infused into Calendula, Sunflower, Evening Primrose, Rosehip & Jojoba oils & nothing else.  This blend is soothing, caressing, mood enhancing, indulgent. Love yourself.

More info:  This oil comes in a spritz bottle and can be used by spraying the oil over the surface of your bath water or can be used directly on the skin after a shower or bath.

My review:  I. LOVE. THIS. STUFF!  I spray the oil into the palm of my hand (it squirts more than sprays), warm it up while rubbing my hands together and then massage into my skin.  It absorbs into the skin immediately and doesn’t leave the skin feeling oily or sticky at all.  If you’ve ever used the Body Shop body butters, you know that you have to rub-rub-rub-rub-ruuuub to make sure everything is absorbed.  Hell, by the time I’m done rubbing the butter into my body, it feels like I’ve just finished an upper body workout.  This stuff makes my life a whole lot easier and, might I add, happier!  The scent of this is refreshing and lingers on the skin throughout the day.

The Pro:  It leaves my skin feeling soft and supple without the oily layer other body oils / body butters leave & is absorbed into the skin within seconds.  I will go as far as to say I never want to see another tube, bottle or jar of body moisturiser ever again – this is my new Holy Grail body product.

The Con:  Definitely no con from me!

The Price:  R 275,00 for 100ml (available from Cassidy through the Balm Balm – South Africa Facebook page)

Thanks so much for sending me this amazing product, Cassidy!

P.S.  I’ll be doing reviews on the other products I received in a separate blog post.
