OPI The Bond Girls Mini Collection

Today I’ll be sharing the OPI Bond Girls Mini Collection polishes with you.

These arrived in South Africa a couple of weeks ago (I bought mine on eBay though) and I’ve noticed a lot of girls are interested to see what they look like.  As mentioned before I really like the Liquid Sand polishes from OPI and was happy to see that all the polishes in the Bond Girls collection were this formula.  Liquid Sand polishes have a textured, matte finish and contain sparkles / glitter.  There are 6 polishes in the full-sized collection and 4 in the mini collection.  All the polishes in the collection are named after some of the iconic Bond Girls from the movies.  Each mini bottle contains 3.75ml, where a full-sized OPI bottle contains 15ml.

This is a gorgeous bright coral shade with gold sparkles.  The colour pay-off on this one is great, I only needed 2 coats.  I know you’re probably thinking these polishes must be a pain in the butt to remove but if you use the foil-method, you’ll have no issues at all.  Polishaholic has a great step-by-step guide on how to do this here.

Vesper is a dark purple with black glitter, very sultry (just like the character in Casino Royal).  Vesper, however, means ‘evening’ in Latin – that’s probably why the polish is such a dark shade.  The formula of this one is ok, it’s a bit more sheer than the other polishes and requires 3 coats for full opacity.

…please don’t make me say this…  *cringe*  Pussy Galore

Let’s just pretend I never said it, ok?  This is a mesmerising baby pink shade with silver textured glitter, definitely a girly shade!  It looks frosty in some lighting and then ‘normal’ on other lighting, very interesting.  This one also only needs 2 coats and is the easiest to apply.

This polish is a white base with sparkly silver glitter, it looks a bit meh in the bottle but actually turns out to be something special when applied.  It’s more interesting than your average white nail polish but less in-your-face than some of the other colours in the collection.  I’d say it’s the perfect polish for those days when you don’t know what polish to paint your nails with because it will definitely surprise you.  It applies well but is also a bit sheer and needs 3 coats for full opacity.

The swatches are in order as pictured above.

Don’t forget you can apply a top coat over these polishes and it will give you a completely different finish and look!

I really want to get the full-sized polish in Honey Ryder, it’s the most amazing metallic gold shade with subtle silver shimmer.  It’s not too yellow and gives a matte gold textured finish.  *swoon*

Where in Gauteng can I find these? I like “Vesper”, especially now for Winter. I looked up “Honey Ryder” and it is an amazing shade, I want that one too.

    Great review xOx

Go onto OPI South Africa’s Facebook page, I think they’re based in Sunninghill. But you should start seeing these in some salons / shops where OPI is usually sold (I haven’t seen yet though).

I NEED to get Honey Ryder ASAP! 😉

Hi Luzanne, do you know if there is an Ebay in Pretoria?

LOL! eBay is an online store, sellers from all around the world sell their items and you can get some shipped to South Africa.

I WISH there was an eBay based in Pretoria! Actually, no I don’t…because I would be very poor!
