My Fantasy Advent Calendar

Lize from Sixty Winters sent me an email a couple of weeks ago and asked whether I would be interested in doing a blog post like this.  I LOVE advent calendars, so I thought her idea was amazing.  Most of these products are not available in South Africa and THAT’S why I’ve added them to my fantasy advent calendar.

So here’s it is, in all it’s glory!

I’m not a greedy girl, so I’m pretty open to most of these being sample / travel sizes.

Now for the serious part…

Dear Santa,

Please treat me to a couple of these wonderful goodies?  I am pretty sure I’ve been a good girl…  You are welcome to conduct interviews with my four-legged children, my darling husband and all the spiders living within a 250m radius of my house.  You see, Santa, my sister-in-law lives 250m away and I often have to go save her (and my brother-in-law) from the little critters.  Don’t worry, I catch them and release them into the wild (no killing!).

Yours sincerely,

Luzanne Ashby

Love your list! That BBW Twisted Peppermint smells amazing!!!! What did you use to make this post? So organized. – Rhondine.

    • Luzanne 5 December 2013 / 21:31

      Oooooh, I wish I could sniff the candle… :(

Thanks Rhondine, I used Adobe Photoshop for the product pictures (to add them all together) and Adobe Illustrator for the little bauble graphics. 😉

  2. Taz 5 December 2013 / 17:08

Wow, I love this whole picture you created! It must have taken you a while…

I want everything that is in your advent calendar, you picked the perfect things.

P.s. I kill spiders, I hope it doesn’t mean Father Christmas will skip my house! lol

    • Luzanne 5 December 2013 / 21:25

Yes, it’s all part of the blogging process. :) It’s hard work but so worth it in the end – I love creating pretty pictures and making everything fit together.

Noooooo!!! Don’t kill the spiders!!! Where do you live? Maybe I can come catch the spiders at your house too… 😉

  3. Clara Dinkelmann 5 December 2013 / 17:30

You are so lucky, Clara! Wow! Enjoy all the amazing shopping! :)

  4. Zee Mohlapi 5 December 2013 / 17:54

What do you do with that wallflower Luzanne?

The Dior lip balm looks so beautiful, but I think my boyf will have a heart attack if I had to ask him to buy it for me for Christmas hehehehe!

    • Luzanne 5 December 2013 / 21:22

You plug it into the wall socket almost like the Glade Plugins, and then you can buy different scent bottles to plug into that. :)

Haha! Yes! The Dior lip balm is quite pricey! 😉

  5. Telma 5 December 2013 / 18:42

    • Luzanne 5 December 2013 / 20:39

  6. Lily 6 December 2013 / 00:53

So many good things, Luzanne!! I’m sure you would LOVE the B&BW candle, it smells divine, one of my favorites.

I wish I could send you everything…but maybe Santa will get you some of these goodies.

    PS-I kill the spiders…hehehe!! Ooops!

    • Luzanne 8 December 2013 / 11:44

We only really have 2 brands here in SA that have great candles – Yankee Candles and Village Candles. Maybe B&B will come to South Africa one day, I’ll be holding thumbs for that!

I hope Santa read this blog post, I forgot to send him a proper letter this year… :(

Noooooo, don’t kill the spiders! :(

Lovely pic of beautiful things which I’m sure are all great to have! Adorable little reindeer in your instagram!

    • Luzanne 8 December 2013 / 11:38

Thanks, Mom! :) It’s the ones I bought at Kamersvol last week. x

  8. adajeannie 6 December 2013 / 23:31

Oh how i wish we had access to some of these things in SA. (or maybe not 😉 The Dior Lip Balm is amazing but the price! urgh. Tried the Bobbi Brown lip balm and it is on par and about a R100 cheaper, but still super expensive for a lip balm *choke* I absolutely adore the Vitamin Shake Labello you introduced me to. Hooked :)

    • Luzanne 8 December 2013 / 11:21

Me too! Especially Tarte, Bath & Body Works & Barry M – awesome for me but bad for my bank account haha! 😉

I agree, the Vitamin Shake lip balm is amazeballs! x

  9. Michelle 9 December 2013 / 20:03

Please Santa, don’t forget me when you drop these amazing goodies with Luzanne. I am pretty sure I have been a good (enough) girl to get this. If not I will do whatever it takes.
    Thank you

*lovely products. This would definitely be an advent calendar I would love to have.

    • Luzanne 10 December 2013 / 21:57

LOL! I also think you have been a good girl, so I’m holding thumbs Santa will be making his rounds at your house too! 😉

  10. Chicara 11 December 2013 / 13:10

Drool, drooool, drooooooooooooool! Amazing list of goodies. I wouldn’t mind waking up to those every day in December. :)

The buffy body butter is nice, but heard that Aqua mirabilis is better. :)

Hope some of these come your way xx

    • Luzanne 15 December 2013 / 17:49

I’m so happy to hear that because my mother-in-law was at LUSH the other day and she asked me if she could get my anything… OBVS I said yes – haha! But it was between Buffy & Aqua Mirabilis and for some reason I chose AM, so I’m glad to hear it’s actually better than Buffy.

      I hope so too – haha! 😉
