Just a quick blog post to wish all my readers and their families & friends a very Merry Christmas! It doesn’t really matter which holiday you celebrate, the festive period is a time for sharing and caring. Do something nice for someone or something (as you know, I have a huge soft spot for animals) and remember to be thankful for everything you have in your life. I think a lot of us don’t always realise just how fortunate we are to have what we have in our lives – whether it’s materialistic things, your health (mental or physical), or someone to spend the day with.
I filmed a ‘Get Ready With Me – Christmas Edition’ video for my YouTube channel last week and a few hours after I started editing the video two things happened:
1. My video editing software crashed, and I mean like completely crashed! It somehow uninstalled itself and I couldn’t find it anywhere on my iMac. Being the technologically challenged fool that I am, I had to wait for Neal to arrive home to try fix it for me. He managed to fix it, but then…
2. I noticed that a whole 12-minute clip was missing from the footage.
So I decided it was probably a sign to call it a day. If you’re looking for some Christmas makeup & beauty inspiration, take a peek at my ‘My Favourite Festive Reds – Lips, Nails & Body’ blog post here. I feel bad for not being able to upload a Christmas-inspired video, but it’s the thought that counts…right?
A huge THANK YOU to each and every single one who has taken time out of their day to stop by Pink Peonies blog, send me a tweet, leave a comment, like a video, and share a blog post with a friend. There are no words to describe how thankful I am. I love being able to chat with you in our virtual beauty room, eating virtual cupcakes, talking about makeup and other beauty products…and well, enabling you to buy more products than you probably need.
Who would’ve thought that this amazing journey into makeup & beauty that started in March 2013 would have led to so many friendships?! I know that we mostly talk about makeup and all of that good stuff, but I like to think Pink Peonies is also about spending time with friends in a safe & happy place.
Please know that you will always have a place here at Pink Peonies on Christmas (and any other day of the year), and I am honoured to be part of your day.
Merry Christmas! Be safe and have fun!
P.S. There will be a little radio silence here on the blog for the next couple of days. No blogging, no working – just food, wine, reading, and plenty of good company. You can look forward to my annual series of ‘Best Of Beauty’ blog posts in January plus I have a huge GIVEAWAY lined up to say thank you for all the love and support you have given me this past year. I have a lot of fresh new ideas for blog posts next year, plus a very special monthly somethin’-somethin’ as well (but more on that in the new year).
