I Need 3 Readers For My Kiehl’s #ChangeYourSkin Challenge

Kiehls Change Your Skin Challenge Pink Peonies Blog

I’m very excited to be taking part in the Kiehl’s #ChangeYourSkin 28-Day Challenge this year…AND I need 3 Pink Peonies blog readers to do it with me!  I’m inviting 3 ladies (or gents) to join me on this exciting challenge to change the look and feel of your skin.

If you’re a regular visitor here on the blog, then you will know I am quite the fan of Kiehl’s as a brand.  Their approach to healthy skin is as follows:  They use only naturally derived ingredients and use minimal preservatives (just enough to give their products a shelf life), plus only formulas with ingredients that are truly beneficial to the skin are selected.  Their skincare is scientifically formulated to respect, restore and strengthen the skin barrier for healthier, more radiant & younger-looking skin.

The idea behind this interesting challenge is to change your skin in 28 days!  Myself and 3 readers will receive 3 full-sized Kiehl’s products delivered straight to our door.  We will be testing out the iconic Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, the Dermatologist Solutions Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, and the Dermatologist Solutions Hydro-Plumping Retexturising Serum Concentrate for a full 28 days.  Exciting, right!?

Midnight Recovery Concentrate ♥ R 665,00 – Kiehl’s first night-specific formulation that works all night to replenish the skin with moisture to ensure younger-looking skin by morning.  This is a paraben-free overnight facial oil and is one of their best sellers!

Dermatologist Solutions Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution ♥ R 655,00 – The first Kiehl’s serum that promotes youthful clarity while helping to reduce the appearance of dark spots, discolouration and hyperpigmentation.

Dermatologist Solutions Hydro-Plumping Retexturising Serum Concentrate ♥ R 675,00 – Utilises next generation Serum-to-Liquid Technology™ to intensively hydrate skin’s deepest surface layers.  Youthfully plumps skin, smoothing the appearance of fine lines & rough texture.  I’ve used this in the past & loved it!

Before we get to all the nitty-gritty details, I would like to mention that this is a sponsored campaign – thus I am getting paid to run the campaign on Pink Peonies blog.

Would you like to be chosen as 1 of my 3 readers to take on the #ChangeYourSkin challenge?  Here’s what you need to know:

♥  Most important – You need to be able to commit to testing the products for a solid 28 days, and send me weekly updates.

♥  The challenge will start on the 22nd of June 2015 and if you are picked as 1 of the 3 readers, you need to be willing and able to report and document any changes in your skin each week for 4 weeks.

♥  I will be blogging about our #ChangeYourSkin journey on a weekly basis.

♥  You’ll be expected to send me an email with your weekly skin updates – no need to worry about sending a long essay or report, a short & sweet paragraph will suffice.  I also don’t expect selfie photos to be taken each week, I respect that not everyone is comfortable taking photos of themselves (not to mention ‘no makeup selfies’) on a regular basis.  BUT I do require a before and after photo – you can wear makeup or no makeup, it’s totally up to you.

♥  You’ll also be expected to share your experiences on your various social media channels (blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc).  You’ll need to tag @KiehlsSA and include the hashtag #ChangeYourSkin or #SerumExperts so that Kiehl’s can see and share your thoughts.

♥  To enter, comment below and tell me about about your skin – any specific concerns such as sensitivity, aging, blemish-prone, hyperpigmentation?  I’d also like to know your full name & age and make sure you enter the correct email address when you leave your comment in case I need to get in touch with you.

♥  I will pick my 3 readers from the comments section below (no emails or social media entries, please) and will notify you before the 12th of June 2015.

♥  This challenge is applicable to South African residents only.

♥  While every effort is made to ensure that these 3 products will suit most skin types, individual skin may react to certain products.  If you experience any reaction to the product(s), please stop use immediately and contact me.

P.S.  Should I call us the #FabFour or #FeistyFour or #FoxyFour or #FantasticFour?

Hi, my skin is pretty much normal, occasional break out on my chin, and sometimes it gets dry (climate change). I am extremely stressed about the aging aspect of my skin, YOH. I am 37 years young…& my full names are…Andrea Liss.

  3. 8 June 2015 / 15:29

    Ok so #FABfour sounds amazing!
As for skin concerns, mine is managing hormonal breakouts and aging skin… Because pimples are not enough wrinkles need to be added to the mix of worries as well :/. I don’t know when it happened but I have 3 very concerned lines on my forehead that have officially become my main skin concern! Other than that I find my skin to be some what healthy.

this is such an awesome thin Keihl’s is doing. I used to have such good skin but after the birth of my son, I developed pigmentation under my eyes and dark spots appeared everywhere. I am 28 and would love to have the chance to correct this before I reach my 30’s. I would love ti be able to give my truthful opinion of the products.

  6. Gina Booth
    8 June 2015 / 15:33

Ooooh wow! Would LOVE to be a part of the #FabFour and test out these products with you!
I have always had difficult skin – it’s oily and acne prone (although I think that’s lifestyle and stress related) and now come winter, it’s dry and sensitive.

I’ve suffered with hyperpigmentation since a stint on Roaccutane in highschool to try and sort out the spots – which worked, while leaving me with a whole different set of blemishes to try and cover with makeup.

I LOVE everything that I have tried from Kiehl’s so far. I use their cleanser which I can already see has made a difference with the pigmentation. Would be amazing to see what difference a product specifically targeted at this would do!

Such an exciting challenge! Urg my skin is an uphill battle at the moment… typically dehydrated (especially from this horrible JHB weather), but now fighting off some oily and congested areas thanks to raging hormones. Also have slight sensitivity, but not a reactive skin. So looking forward to reading the reviews! (Sarah Booyens – mascaraandmimosasza@gmail.com)

  8. 8 June 2015 / 15:35

27 years old (eep!), my skin concerns are hydration, uneven skin tone and fine lines. I rarely get break outs, and I love the Kiehls brand. Currently using their line reducing eye brightening concentrate.

    Hi Luzanne,

I am 42 ,so age seems to be the enemy here! I struggle with a little dryness in winter but other then that I take really good care of my skin. I have not tried Kiehl’s before so would love to see what the fuss is about.

    Thanks, Sharon 🙂

Hi I am 41 My skin is healthy with a few lines and pigmentation from acne from years ago. It is acne prone with scars I am trying to get rid of. The scars are from acne.

  12. 8 June 2015 / 15:37

Ah this is such an awesome challenge and totes #FABfour , Oh my skin -_- where to even begin – my chin is blemish-prone as well as full of scars (not even from squeezing!) that’s not even including my freckles which in turn = hyper-pigmentation. Cara Fay Glaser, 25

My vote is for #FabFour 🙂

Sounds fantastic… I’m having these hormonal breakouts that are causing the worst spots and leaving marks behind. I’m so self conscious about it….so would love to try something if it could possibly work for that. I’d definitely say I’ve got blemish prone skin.

I don’t feel comfortable going out unless I have make up on every day. Would be nice not to feel embarrassed on the days I don’t have time to put on a face full of make up.

    Hi Lezaan
So, I’ve just started Roaccutane at the ripe old age of 27 (28 in September). I’m excited to try Kiehls because my skin is going to be undergoing so many changes, including extreme dehydration, and flakiness, as well as just general misery.

Exciting times!! I am 30-years old. Skin concerns are mostly major hormonal breakouts, fine lines that are developing out of nowhere and pigmentation from a serious round of acne about 4-years ago. Would love to be part of this trial!

  16. 8 June 2015 / 15:40

I am 28 years old, I have combination skin, uneven skin tone, blemishes and acne scarring to due to past acne.

    Hi Luzaan!

I would LOVE to try the Kiehl’s 28 skin challenge. I struggle with the occasional hormonal breakout, and I’m now starting to notice hyperpigmentation around my mouth and forehead 🙁 . I also struggle with dry skin during the winter.

    I just turned 35.

    #Fabfour is my choice 😉

Hi I have skin thats terribly indecisive… ranging from super oily to dry and chapped the next week. Its confused… so def a “Combination skin” tone. I am often told that my skin becomes very oily because it needs to be hydrated more. The oil is a natural way for the body to create its own hydration. Therefore I am very keen to try these products and see how they work for me 🙂 I am totally for the eco/natural approach to beauty and have been looking into trying Kiehls but just haven’t had the cash to commit to an expensive range and then finding out its not for me. I would love this opportunity to finally find out it Kiehls it my skin-saving angel product… So please pick me 😉

My name is Raquel Lambert email rplambert15@gmail.com

Thanks for a great blog 🙂

Oh and I am 30 yrs old. Plus my skin also suffers from hyper pigmentation & scarring.

    8 June 2015 / 15:45

    Hi Luzanne,
My name is Monique Rachman and I am 26.
I used to have normal skin until I moved from Durban up to Johannesburg and obviously with the drier climate my skin has not adjusted well. It is extremely dehydrated, I have flaky patches that I have never seen in my life. i’m really struggling to find products to bring my skin back to its normal state. I do also have some hyperpigmentation that has developed in recent years and as I get older fine lines and wrinkles are beginning to concern me.

    8 June 2015 / 15:46

I would love to try Kiehl’s products. My skin is very dry during the winter months. I am 37 years old and it is quite a challenge to find products that work. 🙂 I hate the flakiness and red patches due to dry skin.

I’m a 24 year old feisty lady! The main problems I experience with my skin is dark spots and uneven skin tone. I’m a dark skinned person so uneven skin tone is my worst enemy! I’d love to participate in the #ChangeYourSkinChalllenge.

I just turned 32 the other day and I feel like I am still struggling to find a good brand that is something I can stick with. I have tried the high end brands and the less expensive and am still searching. I have extremely dry skin and am concerned about hyperpigmentation, so am quite religious about my sunscreen.. it would be great to try the products and document improvement in my skin 🙂

Blemish prone skin, large pores and acne scarring. A bit fed up to be honest! It seems as I get older, the more pimplier I get and I’ve all kinds of lotions and potions. Would really love to Kiehl’s a go! I’m 35.

  25. Alexa Pohl
    8 June 2015 / 15:48

    I like #FabFour!!
My name is Alexa Pohl, I’m 30. Have sensitive combination skin prone to acne rosacea. I have acne scars & redness on my cheeks with uneven skintone. My skin went even more mental after stopping the birth control pill & getting pregnant immediately! I’m due next week with my first baby. Excited to meet my little boy but also to get my skin back in shape. Would love to take part in this trial!!

  26. 8 June 2015 / 15:49

My skin has been a bit of a mix the last few years – I had acne during high school, so I do have a little bit of scarring from it. It then went from being oily to sensitive and dehydrated (although I think most of the sensitivity was due to the dehydration around my nose and chin). I have now managed to sort out the sensitivity issue, due to hard work looking after my skin, and it’s now great, although it still suffers with dehydration. I also have a few darker spots from sun exposure. I use facial oils and serums, as well as a day and night cream. At my age, I’m also looking to begin a proper anti-ageing regimen as well.

I’ve tried a couple of Kiehl’s samples in the past, but never really a full product, and I know how great the brand is. I’d love to try out a few of their products for a set period of time, as then I’d be able to see the full effect of how they work.

I am turning the big 3 0 this year! I am very concerned about my skin it is combination to oily…but I have never really found anything that helps me with breakouts (at my age!) as well as flakiness. I REALLY need something that works and I need to start with something for ageing….. Please pick me!

Disclosure: I’m sorry for the poor sentence structure, I’m typing this paragraph under my table trying to hide from my boss who has the eyes of a hawk.

Hi Luzanne, I’ve combination skin; usually oily but now and then (usually during winter) I get get a few dry patches. My T zone pores are quite prominent with a constant battle of black heads and during “that time of the month” I tend to break out, also I have discolouration so old spots. I’d love for you to pick me to give Kiehl’s a go. I’ve tried so many brands that have done nothing to improve my skin and I’m sooo ready for that to end.

PS My name is Shannon Collett, and going on 20 years old in October.

PPS I’m totally down for #FantasticFour

    8 June 2015 / 16:00

    Hello Luzaan

My name is Megan Richards, I am 28 years old and I would love to take part in the Kiehl #FabFour #ChangeYourSkin challenge.

I am concerned about the following:

    * Hydration
    * Blemishes
    * Aging

I’ve had breakouts which has left small scars on my skin and I am keen to see if this fabulous range will help.

I am active on all social media platforms, so it would be easy to promote the Kiehl range. I am a huge fan of their products.

  31. 8 June 2015 / 16:01

I am 33 years of age.
    My main concerns are;
    -Uneven skin tone
    -Chin blackouts
    -Oily skin
    – Acne at times
-Enlarged pores around the nose area

Being a beauty Insider comes with responsibility & I will commit myself & follow the rules should I get picked 😉

  32. Kirsty Storar
    8 June 2015 / 16:02

This is so serendipitous! I was standing in front of the Kiehl’s counter literally yesterday wondering whether or not to make the change because it has intrigued me since it launched in SA. I love the natural ingredient ethos, and the few products I tested there smelled and felt fantastic!

I like #fabfour 🙂 My full name is Kirsty Storar, 28 years old and I am RELIGIOUS about my skincare routine. Plus, I work from home so have definitely got the time and flexibility to dedicate to regular updates.

My skin type is combination (Oilier T zone/dry cheeks – especially in winter). I have the occasional break out, usually chin area and usually as a result of hormones. I have a bit of pigmentation and am concerned about sun and environmental damage.

Social Media (If you need it):
    Instagram: @kirstystorar
    Twitter: @_cursedtea

My Skincare Background (Skip this part if it doesn’t matter!):
I switched to Dr Hauschka’s completely organic skin care last year and although I loved the products, I just felt I needed something more concentrated. I went back to Dermalogica for a couple of months while I plotted my next skincare move and decided on Nimue after rave reviews from a few friends but honestly… Nimue just hasn’t even me that “Hallelujah” moment with my skin. Before I started I did a skin scan that showed under the surface damage – sun damage, bacteria, scarring etc. It was really quite horrifying to have “normal” skin but to see the mess that lies beneath. Scarier than a horror movie by far. From that scan I learned that I had a bit of sun damage and needed to never leave the house sans sun screen again and I started on the Nimue environmental-damage range.

Would love to be a part of this #ChangeYourSkin experiment!

Oh my gosh I have just hit the big 4 0! My skin leans toward dehydrated and I suffer from mild vitiligo. My biggest crisis though is that my ‘fine’ lines are deepening and my skin looks terribly dull. I am a big fan of Kiehls. I know these products would make a huge difference.

  34. Kim
    8 June 2015 / 16:06

My skin seems to be very emotional if I could call it that 🙂 I have a combination skin leaning more towards dry in the winter and oily in the summer. Although not sensitive it has its moments when it comes to make up. So I don’t wear any. My issues are blemishes and hormonal break outs. I think this experiment could do wonders for my skin but its such a win win either way I would still be learning about this product on your blog. Sooooo Keeen 🙂 I’m Kim Brandt and 28 years old♥ I’m stuck between #FeistyFour and #FoxyFour

I am 31 and currently have the following skin concerns. My skin is currently going though a rough patch. I have dry skin and recently my skin started to become oily thus causing breakouts and acne scarring.I have really bad dark circles under my eyes ( Indian girl problems lol). I started to notice fine lines under my eyes as well. Abit of discoloration in my skin as well. Maybe Khiels can help solve my problems..

    Hi Luzanne.

So glad to hear about the #changeYourSkin challenge.

I am 29 and have combination skin, and am leaning on the sensitive side. It’s very difficult to try different ranges but I have tried Kiels Ultra Facial cream and had no major concerns. I try to use Body Shop products as well as they are on the more natural side.

I am currently using Loreal’s Skin Perfection range, but the change into Winter is leaving my skin dry in some areas. This usually causes patchy skin and hyper-pigmentation. I would love to be a part of the #fabFour and trial these products. Hopefully a positive change will be noted!

    Hi there!

I’m a 26-year old with a very basic and simple skin-regime. I wash with a cheap Rooibos face wash and use a (cheap) face cream for dry skin. Very basic and used to work well for me before turning 26!

I’ve noticed a difference in my skin tone recently. I have incredibly dry skin and I have a sensitive reaction to certain products on certain days. (Weird, right?!) My skin easily gets dull and lifeless; I’ve noticed serious pigmentation taking its place and dark spots forming from former acne issues.

I often get the comment: “You look tired” without even feeling tired – it’s just how my face appears to look like thanks to my skin and dark circles around my eyes! I’m currently looking for something to become my next go-to product. I hope I can be part of your exciting #ChangeYourSkin challenge! 🙂

i would LOVE to be apart of this!
I have a combination on problems with my skin, having turned 25, I have recently noticed premature aging, crows feet, forehead lines/creases, and my nose and chin have always been my most problematic areas with clogged pores!

I have dark spots/pigmentation from scarring and have dark circles under my eyes! Also suffer from skin dehydration… And previous skin ranges just haven’t helped!

Pick me please so I can be apart of this wonderful opportunity with such a stunning brand!

    Hi Luzanne

As an eczema sufferer I have always had sensitive skin. I always have to choose my skin care products wisely since I have skin that gets oily in my T-zone in Summer and in Winter my skin feels flaky, dehydrated and dull.
Being very pale I try to have my skin always look fresh and moisturised.
I have natural dark circles under my eyes, a few dry patches and fine lines from frowning on my forehead (I use serum to combat the deepening of these lines and my fringe of course to make it less noticeable)
I don’t often suffer from breakouts luckily!

    Loving #FabFour!

I will definitely be able to send weekly report backs & do social media posts.

I LOVE Kiehls with all of my little heart – and my favourite hashtag is #FabFour!

I recently started noticing pigmentation on the right side of my face, in my hair line – thanks to hours spent in the car no doubt! I instantly panicked, and have been smothering myself in SPF50, hats, scarves and oversized sunnies ever since, in an attempt to escape the sun. I’ve been on the look out for the right product to treat that and would be really excited to try this.

Another skin change I’ve noticed as I’ve gotten older is the network of very fine lines around my eyes – again, panic set in, but a quick trip to a dermatologist confirmed that my skin is actually dehydrated. The relief! (I wanted to kiss the woman full on the mouth in my joy.) So that is now something that I’m actively targeting, and I would be interested to see what effect the Hydro-Plumping Retexturising Serum Concentrate would have on that.

As for MRC – well, what is there to say, other than its magic in a bottle?

I’m 27, so at the point where I’m starting to pay for the sins of my youth. 😉

    I’m down for a 28 day challenge.

I’d like to see if Kiehl’s is able to sort out the following
    -MAJOR dry winter skin
-Anti- aging (turning the big 3-0 this year so I can see my skin isn’t so young and fresh anymore)
    -Uneven skin tone
I’m just struggling to sort my skin out in general.

I moisturise and remove make up before I go sleep like it’s my job so I’m down for dedicated 28 days of skin care.

I’d love to be one of the #FabFour or #FeistyFour or #FoxyFour or #FantasticFour!

I’ve tried 2 skincare ranges this year, but my skin remains dry and flaky. :(. I am particularly concerned about the lines around my eyes and on my forehead. I would love to give these products a try! Regards, Sarah

My main skin concern is blemish proned combination skin. I exercise alot and find that this has caused a build up of excess sebum due to sweating. Im also a stay at home mom which means that my daily skin care routine is very quick. Which has left my skin lookong very dull and aged. My name is Liandi Fourie.
    I am 25 years old.

I have a lot of pigmentation and I cannot remember how many products I have tried over the years. I wanted to try the Kiehls products for so long but unfortunately I don’t live near a store.I would really like the opportunity to test the Kiehls skin care products.

    Thank you !

    Hi Luzanne,

I’m Kelsey. A 24 year girl with very fair (MAC N15 kind of fair 😉 ) and extremely DRY skin… Think Sahara desert kind of dry.

I would love to do this challenge as I’m desperate enough to try anything that will improve the condition of my skin. I currently have this dry/red patch on my face right by my mouth (totally attractive, I know) for the last few months which I have yet to get rid of so would love to try this challenge to see if I can get rid of it (finally) once and for all!

So my main skin concern is severe dryness, and also rosacea ( mainly because it runs in my family and I also show a lot of redness on my skin). :/

    Hi Luzanne,

I’d love to join in on the #fabfour (my choice 😉

My name is Samantha Muller and I am 28 yo.

My skin concerns are dry and dehydrated, recent burst of breakouts and I work outdoors for part of the day so am exposed to the sun. I have red patches from previous blemishes and some freckles. Fairly sensitive skin with a history of eczema.

    Hi Luzanne

My name is Julie and I am 24 years old.

I have sensitive, dry and dull skin, with occasional eczema patches when I get stressed. I love reading your blog, and all the makeup reviews and tips, but I often cannot wear lots of makeup (or any often) because my skin is dry. I have been looking for a serum that could help me with this in winter, and I keep reading about the awesome Kiehls serum! I would love to try the Kiehls products. My skin definitely needs some special help!

    #Fabfour for the win 🙂

  55. 8 June 2015 / 17:42

Hello!! My name is Amy Brown and I would absolutely love to be part of this as I have been on a mission to change my skin for ages! I was on the pill for about 9 years and went off it in September. Since then, my poor skin has had NO idea what’s going on or which way is up! I have regular flare ups and nothing helps. I have tried a whole range of products and nothing has helped better my skin. I would love to try a brand that not only helps clear up my skin, but also takes care of and nourishes my skin – I believe Khiel’s is a brand I would love to try! I have combination skin with dryness around my eyes and mouth and oiliness on my forehead. I am 25 years old and would really love to be part of the #FabFour!

Lots of love in health and beauty,

    Hi Luzanne

I would LOVE to participate in this challenge and to be part of the #FabFour!
In general I have normal skin with my biggest concern being reds marks from previous blemishes and veins (I’m very fair), the odd blemish and of course aging since I hit the big 3-0.

I am now 31 and since I became pregnant (I’m now 4 & 1/2 months) the odd blemish has become the very regular breakout and I now have Namibian dry patches on my face.

In short, except if “the glow” they all talk about are the red marks on my face (which, am I losing my mind, are becoming redder?!) and the giant pimple on my chin, my face is a hormonal emergency!

  59. Bianca Balutto
    8 June 2015 / 18:09

Hi there I have not tried any kiehl products so would really like to take part in the challenge. I have very sensitive combination skin with a few dark spots surfacing under my eyes and a little discolouration around my mouth from eczema and mild breakouts. In winter my skin gets a bit dry and tight.

    8 June 2015 / 18:15

Hi Luzanne, what a fabulous opportunity.

My name is Jeannette and I am 44. Probably a bit older than your regular reader. My skin quite dry, I have lots of redness and after my pregnancy, quite a few age spots. As i am a bit older, i have quite a few lines around my eyes. And in winter, my skin just dries out even more. The older i am getting, the drier it becomes.

  61. 8 June 2015 / 18:43

This is such an awesome opportunity, thank you so much Luzanne!!

    My name is Hayleigh Chamberlain,
    and I am 23 years old 🙂

Oddly enough I was just chatting to my Mum about wrinkles, and how the other day I noticed I have two small laugh line wrinkles developing on the right hand side of my.. laugh? hehehe

It’s nothing to be ashamed of, just a storm in a tea cup really, but I was taken back. I knew wrinkles were coming at some stage, like galloping dry rot and mad cow disease, but did not expect wrinkles at age 23! Sigh…

I have gone up to SPF factor 50 for everyday use now in hopes that it prolongs my skin’s age if you will. I also suffer terribly from dry skin so using spf has somewhat helped with the desert that is my skin.

I would love to help test out these beautiful Kiehls products and report back 🙂 I have only ever heard good things about Keihls, so could not miss a out on an opportunity like this!

Thank you once again and hopeful I can help you on this wrinkle busting, age crushing, skin helping mission!
    Bye for now xxx

Hi Luzanne, im 28 years old and suffer from oily, blemish prone skin with enlarged pores around the cheek area. In my early 20’s i had close to perfect skin and unfortunately did nothing to maintain it. I’ve tried so many products already but haven’t found that holy grail product that i purchase over and over again. I’ve heard great things about Khiel’s and would love to put these 3 products to the test. I have a good feeling about this…

Hi i don’t have any marks on my skin, but i tend to have a redness as if i am blushing the whole time. My name is Thea Lennox and i am 43. I stay in Cape Town

  64. 8 June 2015 / 19:10

I don’t have the best skin but I have tried samples of some of the other Kiehl’s products last year and it did see dorm good results

  65. 8 June 2015 / 19:27

I am 26 years old, I’ve been battling with acne breakouts every 6 weeks or so for the last 3 years, leaving me with scarring all along my chin area.

I have hyper pigmentation as well as ridiculously large pores!

Lack of sleep most likely contributes the fine line appearing unwelcomed under my eyes an on my fourhead. I have a blackhead forestation on my nose and to top that all off my skin is super dehydrated and then gets lovely and oily after an hour….joy!

My skin needs some serious TLC…on the real now 🙂

This is such a cool project, I’d go with #fabfour because everyone’s going to look fab after this 🙂

  66. 8 June 2015 / 19:43

    Definitely the #Foxyfour

My name is Lindsay – Leigh Thomas, I’m 28 years old and addicted / obsessed with your blog!

I’m more of a combination to oily skin type which causes breakouts every so often. Do i win a prize for having giant pores?

My blog just happens to be http://whathappendtomybody.com/ which also refers to my skin.

Definitely feeling aged, tired, dull and in need of a great boost. I’ve lusted over the Kiehl’s range for so long but sadly I’d never be able to afford testing all their amazing products regularly. This would be a great way for me to get spoilt, do the research, have fun and then be able to make an educated purchase on my skins needs.

I have no problems exposing my skin bare face and all to help anyone out there!

I don’t mind aging but please help me do it gracefully

I’ve been blessed with a pretty problem free skin most of my life. I am turning 23 for the 7th time (the big 3 0) next month (still mentally preparing to let go of my 20’s… Hehe) and my skin recently developed some pigmentation and I am also experiencing spots all over. I’ve always had a dry skin, even more so in winter.
This could be a nice skincare challenge to see what a change in product could do for my skin. And a nice added birthday present 😉

    8 June 2015 / 20:20

Hello 🙂 My name is Tamaryn Kuun and I’m 24 years old.

I have never tried any of Khiel’s products before. My skin is very sensitive, there are very few products that I can use, or else I literally turn into a walking-talking tomato :0 My skin is so sensitive that when I accidentally scratch myself it leaves marks and it turns red for quite a while. I work with Pre-Primary children (grade R’s), which means I am out in the sun often (at least half of my day).

I have never had any breakouts one gets in ones teenage years, however I do get 3 breakout spots (to be specific) in more stressful times. My skin is very important to me, so I really try and drink a lot of water and stay hydrated, which helps in the more stressful times in life. I would love to be part of the #ChangeYourSkin challenge. I am very dedicated in what I do and will also give my honest opinion…honesty is the best policy!

P.S. I am going to go with #FabFour just because I am doing the FabFit Bootcamp Challenge lol 😉

My name is Maxyne Ramlukan. I am 19 years old. My skin concerns are dry skin and hyperpigmentation would really love to take part in this challenge and get my skin looking healthy while I’m still young.

Thank you for reading my comment <3

    8 June 2015 / 21:34

Oh my goodness I saw this happen last year (???) with a few bloggers and was super jealous! Maybe this year I could part of the challenge!

I actually have a LOT of skin concerns, but the main ones that really bother me are definitely dark sports and scarring (from acne)/uneven skin tone, dry and flaky skin, skin that just looks so dull and has no radiance, the overall look & feel of my skin, and premature aging, all really bother me. To be honest, I’ve never had skin that I love and that has been something to smile about, and as the years go on, I feel like my skin concerns become more and more. I’ve also never found something that has made me go WOW! and keep purchasing. I would LOVE to do the Kiehl’s challenge and see my skin transform before my eyes and become the skin that doesn’t bother me.

PS: I have a journalism qualification and absolutely adore writing so you can count on me for regular updates and feedback during the challenge!

    And my details:
Kristi Beitz and I’m 25 (no wonder premature aging is getting me to!)

  72. Lara Bredeveldt
    8 June 2015 / 22:05

    Hi Luzanne!

My name is Lara and I’m just two months shy of turning 25!
I used to have seriously great skin, puberty was a breeze for me, but somehow in the last 4 years things have really gone downhill. From hormone abnormalities to lactose intolerance and major reactions to sugar, I’m still trying to figure out what my triggers are for the almost constant breakouts! Add to that my addiction to the sun and you get a face full of freckles!

This year something in me changed, I’m no longer scared to leave the house without makeup on, I’ve embraced my freckles like never before, and the good skin days make the bad ones seem manageable! I’ve spent so much time – and so much money – on various treatments, and nothing has worked, yet! But I’m not one to give up easily!

I would love to be one of your #FabFour! I’ve heard such incredible things about Kiehl’s and I’m hoping that these products will be just what my skin needs.

I can’t wait to read/see the updates, I’m such a sucker for before and afters!

    Fingers crossed 🙂

  73. 8 June 2015 / 22:32

Ooh I’ve always wanted to try Kiehl’s but it isn’t really in my budget :'( My name is Tarryn Henrick and I’m 28. I have oily/combo skin, and am prone to large pores on my cheeks/nose area and redness/sensitivity all year round. Apart from that, my skin is normally very clear except for the once a month hormonal breakout. I’m interested in maintaining my relatively good skin and get some anti-aging stuff into my regiment. My mom is prone to hyperpigmentation, so I’m also hoping to combat that before it strikes!

    Totally liking the #FabFour

  74. 8 June 2015 / 22:34

Hi, my name is Adele Bezuidenhout and I am 23 years old.

I started my life as an entrepreneur at the age of 20. My ambitions were big, my skin was amazing and the sky was the limit. Fast forward 3 years to today and my dreams have started turning into a reality. My skin? Not so much.

3 years of stress and worry hasn’t done much for my skin. My once youthful and plump skin is now dry and blemished. Seriously though, I never had so many blemishes even when I was a 16!

I really need the #SerumExperts to save my skin. Being part of the #FantasticFour (because every woman deserves to feel like a superhero) would be an honour. I’m also a #socialmedia superhero so appeasing Kiehls on Twitter won’t be a problem 😉

Skin problems would have to be dryness and lack of hydration! Dry patches and lines have been forming all over my skin this winter and also blemish prone.
Im 24 years old. And I vote #FabFour!

PS: if I’m not chosen, do you know of a way I can get my hands on Kiehls in Durban? Thanks Luzanne! 😀

  77. 9 June 2015 / 08:10

First off i’m definitely voting for #FoxyFour 😉

Im Stephanie Chicksen and i’m 24 years old. I have very dry skin (Its very annoying, I live in a tub of moisturizer), its also slightly sensitive and I have discolorartion under my eyes as well as a few marks from when I used to suffer from breakouts.

Hi Luzanne, what a great opportunity. I definitely vote for #FabFour 🙂 I’m 26 and normally my skin can be quite oily in the summer months. Now that winter has officially arrived, my skin tends to go dry and dull. Whoever the lucky 3 readers are, they are definitely in for a treat. Linelle Muller

    Hi 🙂
    I am 30 years old
my skin concerns are as follows :
    Oily skin
Acne scars – (dark spots )
    enlarged pores
    Fine lines

Would really love these give these awesome products a try. I really look much older than my age to my very fast aging skin.

  81. Alison du Toit
    9 June 2015 / 10:27

#FabFour is a winner it seems and has my support!

I am Alison du Toit, 43 years old and live in the Boland, Cape Town.

I have normal to dry skin and tend to feel the dryness mostly when I travel (which I do a lot for work). Jhb air seems to dry everything up. I have general ageing challenges of lines and losing elasticity with a few dark/age spots. I don’t usually have break outs.

I seem to also at times wish I had more glow to my skin and not the tired, dull (forty something) reflection that looks back it me in the mirror.

Here’s hold my thumbs with my #fabfour fingers on each hand.

  82. 9 June 2015 / 10:48

Hi, I would love to participate! I’m a young 34 and have combination skin. My problem at the moment is dealing with mild spots and I’m trying to get rid of blemishes. I’m currently using lycoderm for the blemishes and Galderma’s Differen gel for the spots but I’m keen to try a product that is less harsh and more natural. I am obsessed with keeping my skin clear and am always on the lookout for awesome remedies that really works. FoxyFour really appeals to me but I’m cool with whatever you choose. Looking forward to reading about this challenge! Toodles.

    Hi Luzanne
My name is Arleen (arleenmarree@gmail.com) and I am turning 38 (eekkkk) this month. I enjoy looking after my skin and I am a make up addict. Skin care and make up are like a hobby for me. I get so much enjoyment out of them. I would love to help you with this challenge. I have an oily T zone which drives me crazy, but my concerns are fine lines and wrinkles. I have a little pigmentation under my one eye. I get the odd breakout (hormonal). Nothing makes me happier than having a good skin day. It is like a good hair day for most. I have always wanted to try out Kiehl’s as it is on my skin care bucket list.
Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to do this with you.

    Hi Luzanne 🙂

So I’m 21, not so acne prone but I have some acne scars that won’t go away, fairly oily skin and uneven skin tone. I also have some large pores close to my nose area. I have some scarring on my back also, do you perhaps know what products Kiehl has for that?

Hi, im 26year old, Vannah Piers
My skin is super dry and black head prone ( been fighting this since forever) all the squeezing (gross, sorry!) has left me with some scars and an uneven skin tone. I also suffer from fine pimples on my cheeks and forehead sometimes. Also recently started getting dry patches on my eyebrow. My skin looks so much older than it is because of all this problems. I would love to try this purely because since the beginning of the year I have lost 16kgs and I would love to my skin to also start being a reflection of my new healthy lifestyle to go with my (still pending) new body I could really benefit from this challenge and would love to be part of the ‪#‎fabfour

I’m 31; so just started trying out ant aging products. Have one or 2 pigmentation spots on my face. My skin type is normal to dry (climate dependant). I change facial products often, depending on what I find appealing in the stores at that time or what I’ve read about in reviews. My skin has never reacted negatively to any facial products as it is not sensitive

    Hi there

I am a make up artist and always love experimenting with different products. I have combination skin. My skin is quite uneven and I have a problem with enlarged pores. Im obsessed with trying out new products as I’m searching for something that suits my skin type. It’s also important for me to be able to advise my clients on a good skincare routine and therefore I always try my best to familiarise myself with different products. I am 25 years old. Would love an opportunity to try these products out. Fingers crossed xx

Hi, I am 31 years old and although my skin has been problem free for a few years except for a bit uneven skin tone. I have started getting fine lines around the eye area and forehead and my skin is becoming drier by the day, especially now during the cold months. Slightly sensitive skin, but have tried out some of Kiehl’s products before without any reaction.
Would love to brighten up my dull skin!

    9 June 2015 / 12:21

Personally I like #FeistyFour, it’s the kind of person I am haha.

Jyothi Laldas, 26 and a major geek for beauty and skin care. I regularly test products and review them for Beauty Bulletin – that’s how I got started with this obsession.

My skin is combination, oily t-zone and normal to slightly dry cheeks – this is dependent on the weather, which recently has not been on my side.
I have some freckles. I now also have dry patches to deal with and it is no fun. I am very sensitive to the sun as well. I have a problem with uneven skin tone and occasionally dark circles around the eyes. Apparently, according to my friends and family I have really good skin, I don’t think they know what I deal with in winter!

    Fingers crossed.

    9 June 2015 / 12:26

My name is Casey Mckay, I’m 21 years old. I hate my skin mainly because I have an uneven skin tone so I have red patches, dark patches and white patches. I also struggle badly with blackheads mainly around my nose which makes me super uncomfortable. I’m also prone to massive breakouts all the time. I have struggled with my skin ever since I was a teenager and cant find anything that will work so please give me the opportunity to test out Khehl’s products!

    Hi Luzanne 🙂

I thought I had already submitted a comment but I cannot seem to find it so apologies if you end up with two near-identical comments 😛

Firstly, thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this. I am only 21 (22 in August) yet my skin looks like I am nearer to 30 🙁
Every day I have to wear a full face of make-up due to the fact that I struggle with dull, tight, dehydrated and discoloured skin. I love being a girly girl and playing with make-up, but the fact that I cannot be seen without it on is really a struggle. The weird thing is I have never struggled with acne or spots in my entire life, but since I hit 19/20 my skin has had these other concerns which are, in my opinion, even worse than acne 🙁

Apart from being an avid Pink Peonies reader, I would love to be chosen to participate because I have used one Kiehls product before (eye cream) and it worked absolute wonders. I am currently using a (not cheap) full skin regime and it just does not seem to make much difference at all. This challenge would be the perfect opportunity and I would love to share the results with all of your readers and on my own social media platforms.

    Have a lovely day 🙂

    Rayne XX

My name is Shané MacLennan and I’m 26 years old. I would love to try the challenge with you as I also love love love Kiehls products. I swear by their cream avocado under eye cream.

I have sensitive, acne prone skin, some hyper pigmentation from old scars and have dehydrated patches as well as some oily areas. Yes, it’s a mission to manage it all!

I think #FabFour is the most fun and as the name suggest fabulous – just like I’m sure these Kiehls products will be.

Just so you know you’re doing an amazing job at representing SA as a beauty blogger! I have recently started up a blog and you’re one of my inspirations!

    Hi, Luzaan!

As a lover of Kiehl’s products since I first tried them, I am super keen to get involved with this! My main skincare concerns are pigmentation, and as I head into my late twenties this year I’m starting to think seriously about anti-ageing skincare, so lots of focus on fine lines, plumping products, and general hydration.

But, more importantly, I’d love to get my husband involved in this. I introduced him to the MRC and he loved it, using it most nights before bedt! His skin tends towards being sensitive – not to active ingredients or essential oils, but after he’s washed his face and unless he uses the right product, the skin on his forehead feels tight, looks red, and starts to flake a bit. As a child he was badly sunburnt a few times, so pigmentation is also something to address. Bearing in mind this is a man who used to wash his face with soap (the horror!) I feel we’ve come a long way, but there’s more work to be done!

I would love to see how his skin changes (for the better) sticking to something like this, and I know that as someone who tends to find skincare a bit daunting, he’ll be thrilled to be pointed in the right direction.

    some dark patches and pigmentation.
I also have dark circles under my eyes.

Please be my fairy godmother wave a magic wand and resurface my skin for clarity and radiance.

    Good Afternoon Luz
I hope all is well on your side and I must say I prefer the Fab Four
I am 19 years old and had a history of acne, my skin was usually oily which is strange because this winter my skin decided to go all dry…now I am stuck because I have no idea ho to cope with dry skin nor what products to use. It would be an absolute honour for me to participate in this. My other concerns would also include:
    * Loss of elasticity (which is weird for my age)
    * Fine Lines
    * I an only 19 but my skin looks like 30+ which is a major concern
My skin just depresses me at the moment.

    Lots of Love Liza

Shew! You are going to need a strong cuppa coffee to get through all these replies. In addition to my post earlier where I described the issues with some pigmentation and dark spots as well as dullness and roughness at the edges, I think that it might be a great idea to find ladies (or gents) from different parts of the Country to see how the treatment reacts (Eh. CT, DURBAN JHB and FS etc)

Hi – to provide a little variety to the test group applicants, might I mention that my skin has lived a life and at 38 I see the signs of aging, high pigmentation and dehydration – to be blunt, the skin is looking a “tad” flat and I am very excited to try the products on offer as opposed to breaking the bank and feeding my online shopping habit to ship products of the world to Durban to lend a gal a helping hand:)

Fingers crossed that I am one of the lucky ladies picked:) all I can promise is an honest, sometimes feisty diarised journey x Tamara

I might be a 65 year old granny but I am still very young at heart and would love to join your campaign to see if the dark spots, many wrinkles and sun damage blemishes (actually I have it all!) could benefit from the 28 day challenge. Have been a keen follower since you started more than 2 years ago and think The Feisty Fab Four would do great in this challenge!

I turned 51 on 15th May 2015. I have an oily skin and generally aged well with minimal use of cosmetics or treatments. However, I noticed dark freckling and hyperpignentation that started about 3-4 yrs ago. Some sagging, especially eyelids and below chin area. Also, Crows feet in the last year. My once flawless skin needs help…HELP!!!! I am up for the challenge 🙂

Hi, I’m Harsha Patel – I’m 29. I have combination type skin, with an oil prone T Zone and dry to normal cheeks. I have hyperpigmentation mostly as a result of old blemishes. I get hormonal breakouts. Also have areas where my veins are noticeable – the undereye and around my lip and chin areas.

    Hey Luzanne

    Definitely #FabFour!

I am 24. I am an event co-ordinator living in Johannesburg. I travel a lot for work. I drink too much coffee 🙂 About 9 months ago I started changing my lifestyle, eating habits and daily routine. Eating healthy and working out. Now I just have to get my skin in order!
I have noticed a lot of breakouts on my skin due to stress. Also I have noticed when I travel, my skin gets oilier.
I have an oily T-zone and have noticed dry patches since winter has started.
My pores are huge and I have tried several products to try and shrink them.
I have noticed a bit of dryness and fine lines around my eyes and mouth.
I also have a bit of unevenness in skin texture – like fine bumps.

Would love to join the campaign! I will be travelling to Europe soon on a holiday so I would love to also try the products while travelling to see how my skin reacts, and would be happy to send you updates.

Hello, My name is Jade Kaka (yes, there are very few of us in this world who’s surname means poo in 11 different languages):):):):) Any how, I am 25 years old and live in Johannesburg. The climate is dry and working in corporate we are in airconditioned offices all day. I have a combination skin, where the T zone tends to get oily with the rest of the face being dry. Due to hormone changes as well as some sun damage from my earlier years I suffer from pigmentation across the forehead, under the eyes as well as my chin. I am a huge fan of yours as we are passionate about many of the same things. I currently use Kiehl’s Ultra Face Cleanser and Cream and its a product I swear by. I have got all my friends and family onto Kiehl’s and would absolutely love the opportunity to try some of the other products:) I am an active user on Instagram (jadey_kaka) as well as FB (Jade Kaka). I will be happy to report back frequently and put posts up of all the improvements.

I really hope to hear from you:)

Hmmm, my comments on your blog tend not to go through the first time! I don’t doubt that it’s something funky with my phone, so just ignore this if you’ve already seen my original comment 🙂

My name’s Hannah and I’m 22; I don’t normally wear makeup (mostly laziness, haha!) but I still struggle with pretty oily skin. I’ve been searching for a facial care product for the longest time to help combat this, but pretty much everything I’ve tried just leaves me with the polar opposite of my usual oily skin – that is, dry and flaky skin! It’d be so great to find a happy medium and I think this would be a great opportunity to do so – the Kiehls products sound amazing 😀 I have the occasional break-out and some enlarged pores that I’d also love to deal with.

If you pick me I promise I’d make a great addition to the… #FoxyFour! 😉 Thanks for your blog as a whole – it just brightens my day whenever I read it! ♡

I wear foundation everyday because I have hyper-pigmentation. Right now I am concerned with hyper-pigmentation and getting my skin even toned. I am 38 years old, so I am definitely concerned with anti-aging. During winter my skin is extremely dry. Dry skin tends to age faster and show wrinkles faster.

I have to mention that my favourite post and the one I wait for every month is the “Products Popping Up”. Thanks for keeping us beauty junkies informed.

That said, I make sure I get the basics done, even if it means slapping on some baby cream to my face while waiting for her to fall asleep 🙂

Well im turning 27 on Sunday and my Skin concerns are signs of aging on my forehead and eye area such as lines and uneven skin tone. i also have blemish/ dark spots marks on my cheek area that annoy me a bit. i have to say tho my main issue with my face is my aging on my forehead, the frown lines and large pores shock me in the mirror every day! lol really just freaks me out 🙁
iv tried many things to get it looking better. or tho iv never tried Kiehls.

    Hi , I am 35 years young!
I have had the priviledge of trying Kiehl’s while living abroad, the stuff is dreamy- everything works well with my slightly sensitive skin.
    My concerns are:Hyper pigmentation, discolouration
    Uneven skin tone
and dullness ( esp in winter or after late night/ stressful time)

My skin also suffers from more sensitivity/ dehydration in winter , life in summer is so much better for me!

I can document, report, take photos, heck I will take video too if I need to.

I used different products in the past but my shiny forehead and nose keeps on making their appearance. I have had facial surgery a while ago and ever since my skin is so sensitive, red burning sensation with a fine rash only on the one side. This is terrible and the most annoying feeling because I keep on scratching my face and ends up looking like a red tomato. I really hope to get get chosen as one of the lucky Testers, can’t wait to feel and look like a normal person with. A fresh and radiant skin. My email address: nadiafaro123@cellc.blackberry.com. I’m lucky enough to not have SUPER sensitive skin but it is sensitive/problematic down my t-zone.

Hi, I’m Tammy, and I have combination skin…

Unfortunately I get so dry in winter I my forehead looks like a croissant at times, flaking everywhere! I’m not considered to be old or rather, matured, however, the uneven tone does hamper my ability to take no-makeup selfies as well as the occasional microscopic friend that lands on my chin.

I do pride myself in having firm skin but being radiant, hydrated, healthy skin is something I need, also, if I could walk around without wondering if my dry skin is causing creasing in my foundation that would be great. I really feel like a bakery on wheels with all the flaking going on, it’s a bit much.

27 years old for now, 28 on the 16th of June.

    Hi there,

I am Piyusha Gunjal, age 31
I have a combination to dry skin. I stick to a very basic skin care routine – cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize, sunscreen. I usually don’t use any makeup on my face except for kohl. My major skin concerns are visible pores on my cheek, lack of glow, dehydration, flaky skin on forehead and around my nose, dry skin around my eyes. I am still searching for a good anti-ageing product for my skin. I got my hands on the ultra facial creme by Keihl’s and I am very happy with it and would definitely be trying other Keihl’s products. Very excited about this challenge. If I am selected would be more than happy, if not will look forward for product reviews from you #Fantasticfour.

A few months ago I stopped taking contraceptive pills and I’ve noticed a serious increase in blemishes. I breakout throughout the month instead of only once a month and it has become a real concern for me. I’m sure my body is going through hormonal changes right now, but I’m desperate to find something that will help. I’m also looking for something that will help smooth out some of the fine lines I noticed creeping up on me more and more these days. Other than that I have a semi-sensitive skin with an oily T-zone.

This sounds awesome- I am 27 have extremely sensitive skin and have found I can only use natural products or my skin burns and breaks out, I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago which cleared my skin a lot however I still breakout terribly at what would be my monthly’s time and look like a teenager which is not only un-sightly but my skin also gets so sore, red and irritated. My skin is also terribly dry with an oily t zone which has always made it difficult to find one range that works for all and lastly I am also a mom so I look for something that will liven and brighten that is worth the cost

  137. 10 June 2015 / 14:21

    Hi Luzanne,

My neighbour is a lovely 37 year old single mom of 3 boys. Often times she seems so stressed out and I always think how much she needs some pampering. We went for coffee one day and popped into Dischem, I heard her asking the sales lady for samples of products for pigmentation marks because she’s a swimming coach and thanks to the sun her complexion has become uneven 🙂 I know we’re supposed to volunteer ourselves, but if she could test the products I would gladly help her out with pictures and her weekly updates 🙂

  138. 10 June 2015 / 14:46

    I am 25 and I love satin.

My skin resembles your favourite satin blouse. It look clear and smooth until you get up close and then it’s dry (like the underside of satin sometimes is), has slight pigmentation (you’ll miss it on your blouse if you don’t look closely) and it is sensitive (satin blouses can easily get snag marks). I am also worried about aging (your favourite satin blouse will discolour with age).

Please let me assist you in testing out an amazing product! 🙂

    Wow, what a brilliant challenge!
I’m from Durban, am a 28 year old advertising exec. I have always had skin issues with a bit of pigmentation and as I have gotten older I have noticed my skin’s redness has been getting worse! I’m also in constant battle with spots (even at this late age). I’d love to participate in this challenge as I have yet to find a skin care brand that can help me in all these areas. I have also noticed that it’s almost time to start on a regime to help me with keeping my youthful skin from sagging. Either way I am definitely going to follow this challenge to see how it goes 🙂

Age: 29, turning 30 on the 25th of October 2015

I’m getting older, not younger *reality check*, I can start seeing all those fine lines and wrinkles you normally read of and hear about. You know, those little lines you never though YOU would get, but now have… I have struggled with acne for most my life, and now well into adulthood I still struggle with it. Though I decided to cringe and close my eyes and buy more expensive products specially formulated for acne prone skin (which was a really good buy considering my skin looks a million times better) I still sit with the scars of picking at them. I sit with large pores, scars, an uneven skin tone, and blemishes.

My relationship with my body is a good one, I recently lost about 7kg’s and I’m now well into my goal (healthy) weight. My hair gets colored once a month, and I try use salon products to keep them looking healthy with all the damage done. But my skin…. Let’s be honest here, mommy of two boys, divorced, I have no car *pity party overload* I simply can’t afford these products, but I sure would LOVE to try them. I have tried cheaper versions, but it didn’t work at all, it only felt like a waste of time, and money. Would love to give Kiehl’s a try.

I read some of the comments and all I can say is WOW. You have one tough decision to make, each entry so deserving to win. Thank you for the opportunity.

    Thumbs up for #fabfour

I turned the big 3-O this year and with that came a frantic panic of crow’s feet, wrinkles, sagging, drooping and dullness. I was opting for a 24/7 RBF (resting b*tch face (: ) to avoid facing the music.

    My concerns include:
I work in an air conditioned office so my skin craves hydration, but boasts a oily T-zone. I have some discolouration caused by environmental damage and the aftermath of teenage acne. I seem to be losing elasticity and youthful plumpness.

    Dear L,

What a great idea! #FABfour sounds FABULOUS and I would love, love, love to be a part of the FABULOUSNESS!

I’m 28 and my main skin concerns are ageing and hyperpigmentation, with the occasional bump or two.
A challenge like this is a great way to try and test how well a product actually works, and what better way to involve us “regular” girls, the ones who stand at the cosmetic counters, longing to look like the pictures portrayed above and on the products. Now, we can see the magic happen at home! Thank you for granting us the opportunity to be FABULOUS with you!

    Hi Luzanne,

I’m definitely feeling the #FeistyFour 🙂 . I turned 24 a month ago and I always battled with oily skin growing up followed by the occasional breakout which tends to happen just like any other hormonal teen going through the midst of life. When I reached my twenties that’s when I did lots of exploring of make up:) I’m a daily make -up wearer so I have my facial routine of making sure my make-up is taken off properly followed by cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing . For the past 3 months I’ve had a had an intense breakout leaving me with dark spots on the one side of my face. The make up covers it up, but I’m actually looking for a specific product that could help lighten this spots.Even though my skin is not in the condition that I want it to be I believe each and every women reserves the right to love and nurture their skin. Its our biggest organ after all. If given the opportunity to test these products it would be an honour to represent your blog and Kiehls : ) zitavanreenen007@gmail.com

My skin is no longer acne prone – thanks to Roaccutane. But I do have a bit of an oily T-zone. I also struggle with eczema on my eyes these days. So I need a really good moisturiser. My main concern is ageing/wrinkles and the dark circles and baggies under my eyes. I am 29.

    Good day,

This sounds like such an exciting experiment for me because I am trying to get my skin routine to the next level.
I am 30years old and have pigmentation marks so stubborn i could die.
I suffer from an occasional break out now and then due to hormones and stress.
Now that its winter, its the perfect time for me to get my skin “summer pretty” and would like to be considered for this experiment

Thank you for all your post that really help me get my skin to its peak an A level.

    Hi Luzanne,

Just came across your blog today and I love it! Great job! Already you convinced me to get a Little black Bag; and i’m not big on subscription services as you never know if it’ll be worth your while or the price you’re paying for it. Great seeing South African beauty bloggers who are at the same level (maybe even better!) as the international beauty blogging community! Especially since its so hard in South Africa to get a hold of certain products; it’s refreshing to see someone who can guide me in getting products without having to wait 3 months ( or more) to get it from overseas.
I would love to be part of this Awesome Foursome 😉 (jokes I quite like the name FoxyFour)
I am 28 and the fine lines are showing especially around my eyes. I get a few face demons( pimples) here and there which sometimes leaves the odd mark after, especially those extra sore ones! Those ones are the ones that get names, like Arnold or Jack… I have combination skin and my pores are not very much to my liking at this stage and I also have dark panda eyes due to allergies.
I would love to try out these products!

    Keep up the great work!

    Dear Luzanne,

I have always wondered how you always have that sparkle and glow in all your photos and realized, that you are sold out to the Kiehl’s brand. You should become an ambassador.

I would love to part of the #FabFour and be an active participant in the Kiehl’s #ChangeYourSkin 28-Day Challenge. What an exciting challenge to the start to the second half of the year! To have all the Pink Peonies blog readers put the spotlight on me would really be extreme and throw me totally out of my comfort zone, but hoo hoo, I am up for this challenge to have lasting results in changing the look and feel of my skin.

My name is Joles Lazarus. I am 33 years and 7 months old to be precise. About my skin…I have a combination skin of dry cheeks and a shiny forehead at times, especially in summer. Being Indian, we don’t spend much time in the sun or pretty much don’t need to (haha). But I struggle in the winter months, even though living in Durban, the wind does dry my skin a bit. I would love to be part of the #ChangeYourSkin experiment and really change the condition of my skin with the world’s renown #SerumExperts, Kiehl’s.

Even though it would take it me out of my comfort zone, I am up, for openly sharing with the world, my ordeal of imperfect skin and my skin concern. Maybe I can help other girls out there with similar issues. I had flawless, baby like skin all my life until I hit my teens. We were the biggest fans of all Johnson’s and Johnson’s baby products. Puberty arrived and all went well, but when I turned 15, I decided that I wanted to be all grown up and tried out for the first time the routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing. That was my biggest mistake. I longed for “adultness” and yet now I long for “childlikeness”. Within 2 days, my skin “exploded” with acne. I suppose the product was too harsh. The so called “consultant” who sold the products to me, “wisely” stated that my skin was merely adjusting and to keep on with the new daily routine. Sad to say, my skin has never been the same. Since that first day, of “being all grown up”, something triggered my beautifully flawless skin in a negative way. Since 16, my whole beauty regime life has been trying out various products from limitless brands including top class beauty houses, to vitamins, to dermatologist visits, to a series of intense medication (Roacuttane). I listened to anybody and everybody about what product to try out to resolve my skin issues “once and for all” and yet nothing has worked. To date, I am so certain that I have spent hundreds upon thousands of rand over products, some hardly used. I have taken vitamins and oral supplements to even assist me from the inside out. Needless to say, the years have rolled by and some 15 years + later, I am still in search fulfilling the dream of having beautifully radiant and glowing skin once again and to be comfortable in just being me, without any cover-ups. I want to be confident in my very own skin untouched by BB creams, powder or foundation.

Soon, my man and I plan on being married. I am not on any contraceptive as we plan on starting our family soon after. I am currently not on any medication or treatment to help with random pimples or hormonal breakouts from stress including exam stress and wedding planning. I am your number one and ideal candidate. I’d love to try out Kiehl’s in order to help me with the following:

    – pigmentation
    – uneven skin tone
    – dark spots, subtle scarring
    – hydration
    – blemishes
    – big pores problem
    – anti- aging (turning the big 3-0 this year so I can see my skin isn’t so young and fresh anymore)

And I am willing to do it all, lay myself bare and exposed for 28 days! I will gladly report for all 4 weeks and document all the changes effecting my skin and send through before and after photos and even in between, or daily photos if need be, just to track the changes. I will love to keep a diary of my skin with daily updates with makeup or without, whatever my “readers/followers” prefer to really track the changes brought about with Kiehl’s.

It would be a heaven sent blessing to be chosen as 1 of the 3 of the many, many thousands of women who would love to be given this opportunity. I will treasure and cherish this opportunity with all my might. I cannot wait to get started and reverse all the harmful, negative effects that my skin has endured. I would be thrilled to test the iconic Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, the Dermatologist Solutions Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, and the Dermatologist Solutions Hydro-Plumping Retexturising Serum Concentrate for a full 28 days, just as I religiously read my bible, I will incorporate this route and make it my way of life. I’ve often read on the Pink Peonies blog about Kiehl’s but I have not be able to purchase any of the products. Just to learn about the naturally derived ingredients minimal use of preservatives sets my mind at ease.

I am thrilled to give this world renowned product a try, to have healthier, radiant & younger-looking skin again. Bring back my youth, restore and strengthen my skin barrier. Help me defy my age. I commit wholeheartedly to this challenge. My heart is open to this world of change. Bring back my youthful, cherub and flawless skin. I am certain the Midnight Recovery Concentrate will do its magic at the stroke of 12 midnight and continue to work all night to replenish my skin with moisture to ensure younger-looking skin by morning. The Dermatologist Solutions Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution will work its wonders at promoting youthful clarity while helping to reduce the appearance of dark spots, discolouration and hyperpigmentation. Oh boy and yes that I am in much need off and lastly, the Dermatologist Solutions Hydro-Plumping Retexturising Serum Concentrate in all its extraordinariness will penetrate deep through surface layers and utilize next generation serum-to-liquid technology™ to intensively hydrate skin’s deepest surface layers. I cannot wait for all of these wonders to work on me, me, me!!! My face, my skin will be the work of incredible technology and lab research! Wow! I cannot wait for youthfully plump skin, smoothing the appearance of fine lines & rough texture.

This is going to change my life, my world, in such a dramatic way! I want to testify to this that Kiehl’s works, and works amazingly well. I want to walk out the door without any makeup and just a touch of lip gloss and be proud to be ME without that self-conscious, deep down, gut feeling of uneasiness and feeling exposed. My shyness, my self-confidence, my outlook of life and my own impression of me is going to sky rocket!

Thank you Kiehl’s for this opportunity to share my life. Make me your girl! @jo2311
