Friday Favourite # 5

This ‘Friday Favourite’ post is dedicated to something that has helped me a lot lately.  It has been quite cold here in Centurion and these fingerless gloves have been firm favourites of mine.

My mom knits these for me (isn’t she talented?) and I probably have 6 or 7 pairs of these in various colours.  But these 2 pairs are the ones I have worn the most this past week (make it 2 weeks).

I know some people don’t really see the need for fingerless gloves but when you spend most of your day typing on the computer (yes, I do have a full-time day job) then your hands tend to get a bit chilly.  I have very cold hands (koue hande, warm hart – haha) and to me, having cold hands is like having cold feet – I can’t function properly.

With these I have the best of both worlds, they warm up the palm area of my hands but I still get to touch and feel things with my fingers.  Thanks, Mom!

P.S.  High-five for taking these photos with a Canon 60D with one hand!

P.P.S.  Don’t tell my husband I said that (it’s his camera)…

They are so cute! I love the little hearts and flowers on them! She should make them to sell, seriously. I rely on fingerless gloves too in winter because my job is transcription so if my hands get cold my typing speed goes down, and time is literally money when it comes to transcripts!

She has thought about selling them but she doesn’t really have the platform to do so… I’m sure they would sell pretty well though! 🙂

Oh and that was very brave of you to take a one handed photo with such a heavy camera, Sho! Your husband is going to give you a hiding if he reads this, hee-hee! Well done though, it’s very sharp.

Thanks, Tammy! 🙂 I’ll chat to her tomorrow and will send you a mail to let you know. I’m sure she’d be happy to knit some for you, just let me know what colours you would like and whether you’d like a flower or heart etc on top.

Thank you so much for the compliment! xxx
