essence Makeup Tutorial + 3 Lip Options & GIVEAWAY

essence Makeup Tutorial

Hipray!  Hipray for a giveaway!  Today’s video is a special one for a number of different reasons:

♥  It’s a makeup tutorial featuring only affordable makeup products & brushes from essence.

♥  Most of the products I used in the video were new essence products (or at least they were new to me).

♥  I share 3 lip options with you – something fresh & girly, something nude, and something bold.

♥  There’s also a giveaway linked to the makeup tutorial video – a rather large essence hamper is up for grabs!

♥  And lastly, I decided to do things a little bit different this time around – I added rating cards, so while I’m using each product you’ll see a little rating card pop up on the screen telling you how many hearts out of 5 I rated each product.  Some products were great, and others…not so much…

Let me know if you would like me to add rating cards to any future videos (I don’t think I’ll do them for every single video, but maybe when I film tutorials featuring new makeup products or one brand makeup tutorials).  What do you think?

Please remember to give the video a ‘thumbs up’ if you enjoyed it (it really helps me out), and share on your social media platforms if you think it’s something that might interest your friends or family.

Remember to watch in HD (720p) – all you have to do is click on the gear icon at the bottom right corner of the video screen and choose 720p.

I hope you enjoy!

Please note: I added pop-ups to indicate the name of each product while I’m using them in the video.

If you would like to see what is up for grabs (2 bags filled with essence makeup & nail polishes), then head over to the makeup tutorial video – I show both bags towards the beginning of the video.  Off the top of my head, the following products are included in the hamper prize: Face powders, blushes, eyeshadow palettes, eyeliners, lipsticks, single eyeshadows, false lashes, lipglosses, mascara, nail treatments, and nail polishes!

To enter, all you have to do is complete your chosen entries via the Rafflecopter widget below.  Simple and easy!  Remember, you don’t have to complete ALL the entry options in order to be entered to win the prize – if you would only like to leave a comment on the video (and not share anything on social media), then that’s perfectly fine.  The other entry options are there for anyone who would like to gain additional entries to increase their chances of winning.

Yes to the rate cards! The things you gave 5 stars I automatically want to get 🙂

I tried to get that eye shadow primer previously, but every single one at Dischem had been opened and somebody had stuck their finger in it. So disappointing when people do that, and there were testers for it. Half my comment on you tube, and half here…he he.

I loved the rating cards but it might be nice if there was an accompanying blog post that went briefly into why you gave an item that rating as not all products were covered in the video

Awesome video. There is definitely a couple of those products I need to get. I especially love the lips you’ve done in this tutorial. I bought myself the bronzing pallet but I found it rather difficult to use. Not one of my favourite products. I’m hoping for a miracle so that I can win this awesome Prize.

Love that we can always trust your opinions. And the ratings cards were really helpful, but I’m sure a lot of extra work goes into them, so they would be great for just product reviews <3

Great video, Luzanne! Yes, to rating cards. Now I will only consider the 4 / 5 star products 🙂
You have just proven that you don’t need expensive make up products to create a beautiful look. Knowing how to use the products correctly helps you.
Can you please list the products?

I love essence in general, keen to try their foundation/eye primer. Is the setting spray anhy good …didnt notice a little “hartjie” hehe.

I would love to win this 🙂 so cool… Wearing the nail polish now now ” Indian Summer” i love this color 😀

As weird as it may sound I don’t know what my UTUBE Name Is! Essence_ZA Products are great and totally affordable! I would love to win this prize and divide it up for my Cuppa-for-Cansa goodie-bags!

As everyone should know that follows you essence_ZA products are extremely popular and affordable and I don’t think I’ve come across a single product I haven’t fancied! I bought myself a load of products a few weeks ago – these would go a long way to putting a beauty product into each bag! So holding thumbs in a BIG way . As you know I love your tutorials and the honesty in each video on the products you review!

Rating Cards are definitely a trusted source especially coming from you! Happy 1st March

My eyelashes have become really brittle and appear so much shorter so I really, really enjoyed how easy the false lashes were to apply, I’ve always been to worried that they’d really look like false, but they do look fantastic!
