Easter Inspiration – The Beauty Edition

I mentioned in my ‘SA Shopping – Hoppy Easter’ blog post that I’d be doing this post – a little Easter inspiration for all you beauty lovers out there!  This time of the year, for me, is all about pastels…but only for the next couple of days until after Easter and then it’s back to the dark & vampy shades.  Us, here in the southern hemisphere, are moving into the colder Autumn months now with Winter just around the corner.  It actually feels like Winter is already here, because I’ve been sleeping with my little socks on every night for the last week or so.

Anyway, so here are a couple of beauty products that remind me of pastel-hued Easter time, and of course I just had to include the Beautyblender makeup sponge (that perfect egg shape was just too good to pass up).  Here we go…

1.  LUSH Easter Collection – R 39,50 to R 95,00 at LUSH (most of these are sold out online but you will probably still be able to find some of them in-store).  To check out which of these goodies I bought, take a look at this blog post here.

2.  Clinique Cheek Pops – R 300,00 at selected Red Square, Edgars, Foschini & Truworths stores.

3.  Essence Me & My Ice Cream Collection – R 16,95 to R 44,95 at selected Clicks stores.

4.  Beautyblender Makeup Sponge – R 220,00 to R 300,00 at Rubybox (currently out of stock) and The Spa Shop (also currently out of stock) – meh…  You can, however, buy these egg sponges (dupes) at Dis-Chem and Woolworths for between R 100,00 and R 120,00.  Take a look at this blog post where I compare the Beautyblender to the Woolworths QVS egg sponge.

5.  Stila Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Electric – R 250,00 at Kalahari.com, Truworths, Foschini or Woolworths stores.

6.  Stila 3-in-1 Waterproof Smudge Crayon in Kitten – R 230,00 Kalahari.com, Truworths, Foschini or Woolworths stores OR R 209,00 on Zando.

7.  Essie Nail Polish in French Affair – from R 110,00 upwards at selected Clicks, Dis-Chem & salon supply stores OR online from Takealot & Zando.

8.  Essie Nail Polish in Mint Candy Apple – from R 110,00 upwards at selected Clicks, Dis-Chem & salon supply stores OR online from Takealot & Zando.

9.  Essie Nail Polish in Bond With Whomever – from R 110,00 upwards at selected Clicks, Dis-Chem & salon supply stores OR online from Takealot & Zando.

10.  Essie Nail Polish in A Crewed Interest – from R 110,00 upwards at selected Clicks, Dis-Chem & salon supply stores OR online from Takealot & Zando.

11.  Essie Nail Polish in Borrowed & Blue – from R 110,00 upwards at selected Clicks, Dis-Chem & salon supply stores OR online from Takealot & Zando.

I hope you guys have a lovely Easter weekend filled with Easter egg hunts, and family time.

I want one of those Clinique cheek blushes, I’ve read they are great quality.

I already own that beautyblender sponge because of your last blog post about it, it’s so amazing.

    Happy easter, Luzanne. xZeex

Yes, I’ve already read some rave reviews on the blushes. Now, to only track them down…I’ve been all over Pretoria and Centurion & can’t seem to get my little fingers on them. 🙁

I hope you had a wonderful Easter, Zee. x

OOOh so many pretty pastels! I’m dying to get my hands on a couple of the Clinique blushes, they look so pretty. I need to swatch them first though. I’m one of those that doesn’t like to take the plunge on something pricey until I swatch it.

    Thanks for sharing pretty girl!

I agree with you 100%, I’ll also be swatching them to see which ones are the best. I’m having a hard time tracking them down, though, but I will keep searching. 😉 xxx
