If you follow me on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram – then you probably saw my posts about the upcoming opening of a new concept store in Pretoria. I’m incredibly excited to share the BIG news of Clinique’s Concept Store opening in Menlyn Mall this coming weekend! In this blog post I’m going to share all the details you need to know about the amazing promotions and free gifts Clinique will be running in-store on Saturday – trust me, you want to stick around for this!
Clinique, to me, is a brand that I’ve fallen in love with these past few years. To be honest, in the past I always thought their products were more geared towards someone who more ‘mature’ (in terms of age) than I am. But, in recent years this prestigious brand has definitely impressed me with their trendy and innovative products. Some of their makeup products have become staples in my everyday makeup routine, allow me to make some product recommendations in case you do decide to pop in to the store this weekend:
Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer – Last year you guys told me that I NEEDED this foundation in my life, it took me a while to get round to purchasing it…but boy, oh boy…it’s a keeper! I bought it earlier this year when Clinique had one of their fab online sales, and it was love at first swipe. If you would like me to feature it on the blog or my YouTube channel, let me know!
Superprimer Face Primer – Another great product! This lightweight, oil-free primer feels super velvety and literally melts into the skin, creating a smooth base for your foundation.
Lash Power Flutter-to-Full Mascara – This is their latest & most innovative mascara, mainly because it is fully customisable. With a twist of the barrel, you can choose whether you want natural fluttery lashes or bold voluminous lashes (plus the pigmentation of this mascara is amazing…bold black lashes = tick!).
Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes – My favourite shade is ‘Bountiful Beige’, which is a stunning luminous champagne shade. These creamy eyeshadow sticks can be worn on their own as a wash of colour on the lids, or as an eyeshadow primer. Top Tip: I also use the ‘Bountiful Beige’ shade as a face highlighter!
Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer – I decided to invest in one of these glossy liquid lipsticks a couple of months ago, I purchased the shade ‘Wink Pop’ (a gorgeous pinky nude shade) and was pleasantly surprised. Not to be confused with the original Clinique Pop Liquid Matte Lip Colour + Primer, the Lacquer version’s texture is a mixture of a gloss and a balm. ‘Wink Pop’ has excellent pigmentation and a high-gloss shine, making my lips look full & juicy. Plus, for a gloss type product, this lasts really well on the lips too!
Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer – This is another product I bought a couple of months ago because I really wanted to see what all the hype was about. Turns out, I can 100% see why so many people love this daytime moisturiser. The lightweight, oil-free (and fragrance-free) formula provides all-day hydration while mattifying your skin. The silky / velvety texture (unlike any other moisturiser I’ve used in the past) melts into the skin and sets to a very natural matte finish – the end result? A soft-focus veil that almost acts like an Instagram filter, it plumps the skin and ever so slightly blurs the look of pores & fine lines. Pep-Start HydroBlur also works very well as a makeup primer, especially if you like to keep your skincare and makeup steps to a minimum.
Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief – I’ve gone through 3 bottles already! It’s an oil-free facial hydrator that is a toner, liquid moisturiser (not if you have dry skin though), refresher spray, and makeup finishing spray in one. The formula is also fragrance-free, so it is suitable for even sensitive skin types (and I actually find it calms down my skin on those days when it has a bit of a hissy fit). It’s incredibly refreshing, and leaves my dehydrated combination skin feeling soft and soothed (it contains Aloe Vera).
Anyway, so Clinique sent over a couple of photographs of their new Concept Store in Menlyn Mall and I love the sleek & stylish look of it. There are various ‘testing stations’ for you to check out & swatch all their various makeup and skincare products.
Important: Great news! All customers will be able to use their Edgars account cards at this Clinique store.
CLINIQUE CONCEPT STORE OPENING – 27 MAY 2017:
Here’s what you need to know about the Clinique Concept Store opening this SATURDAY:
♥ The new store is located next to Cape Union Mart in Menlyn Mall (Entrance 5).
♥ Clinique has partnered with 3 celebrity makeup artists: Gina Myers, Precious Xaba and Vuyo Varoyi. They will be creating 1 makeup look each, inspired by their personal style. Each makeup artist will make an appearance from 09h00 to 12h00, so you’ll be able to meet them AND have them do your makeup. Exciting!!
♥ Clinique’s local Brand Ambassador, Jessica Nkosi, will also be making an appearance in the store from 10h00 to 12h00. She will be there to help you pick your perfect shade of lipstick – how fab!
♥ There will also be counter assistants who will help you with foundation matching and moisturiser matching, plus you will receive a 10-day sample of your foundation shade / moisturiser. I highly recommend you check out the Clinique ‘Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer’ (it’s a 2-in-1 product) and their ‘Superbalanced Silk Makeup’ (foundation) too.
PROMOTIONS & FREE GIFTS – 27 MAY 2017:
♥ FREE Clinique ‘Take The Day Off Balm’ for the first 150 customers in the store. This cleansing balm is a cult favourite – it’s a lightweight makeup remover that quickly dissolves even waterproof eye- and face makeup. It’s also fragrance-free, so it’s suitable for all skin types (even sensitive skin). I love this product because it transforms from a solid balm into a silky oil once it gets in contact with the skin, and rinses off really easily too.
♥ FREE Clinique cosmetics bag (above) with the purchase of any 1 makeup product. I like this bag, it’s a really good size for taking on holiday to store all my makeup products.
♥ 30% OFF the Clinique ‘Sweetest Thing’ makeup set (exclusive to only this store) – this normally retails for R990,00 but customers will be able to purchase it for R695,00. I don’t want to go into too much detail with regards to this set, because I’ll be posting a makeup look on my social media pages on Friday using all the products in this beautiful kit. What I do want you to know is that most of the products included in this set are full size products.
Plus, there will be more free gifts handed out throughout the day! If you love the Clinique Chubby Sticks, then…ahem…you need to make sure you pop in to the store on Saturday. My lips are sealed with regards to the rest of the promotions.
