Clicks Winter Beauty Fair Promotions – Haul & Mini Reviews

Clicks South Africa Beauty Fair

I’m sure most of you already know I’m always up for saving some cash!  Yep, as a beauty blogger I do get sent a lot of the products that I feature here on the blog, BUT I also like to buy a lot of the products myself (I think it’s a good thing to stay in the mindset that I’m a paying consumer too).  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone out and bought a bag full of new makeup / beauty products, only to be sent the exact same products a week or two later.  I usually then just pop the duplicates in my ‘giveaway box’ ready to include in a giveaway hamper at some point (which reminds me, I have 2 hampers that are ready to be sent to loving homes…).  I really should get my bum in gear and start planning some giveaways!

I always wind up strolling around a Clicks store whenever I’m at the shops – it’s a habit – I’m a nosy person and I like to discover new products or promotions.  Neal doesn’t join me when I go shopping very often (he’s not into shopping….AT ALL) but when he does join me, he knows there’s a pretty good chance we’ll pop in to Clicks.  He’s so sure of this, that he actually heads straight for one of those small benches in the middle of the shopping mall corridors outside the Clicks store as soon as we approach the store.  He sits outside playing ‘Best Fiends’ (the mobile game with the cute little critters) and I skip up & down the aisles of Clicks.  Okay, not really skipping…but you know what I mean – a store like Clicks is my happy place!

Clicks is currently running their Winter Beauty Fair promotions (in-store and online), and last week I paged through their promo pamphlet with you guys on my Instagram stories.  If you don’t already follow me on Instagram, you definitely should because I’ve been A LOT more active with my Insta-stories lately.  I do PR hauls, shopping hauls and I also share some products I’m loving at the moment.

In today’s blog post I’m going to share some of my favourite promotions from the Clicks Winter Beauty Fair – be sure to pop in to a store as soon as you can, because the promos end on the 14th of June 2017.

♥  Save R14,00 on all essie nail polishes (discounted price = R125,95) – you guys know essie is my favourite nail polish brand, so here’s your chance to stock up on your favourites.  My favourite essie nail colours are ‘Mod Square’ (review & featured), ‘French Affair’ (review), ‘Mint Candy Apple’ (review), and ‘Glow Your Own Way’ (featured).

♥  Buy any 3 KISS nail packs, and get the cheapest 1 FREE – I actually bought 2 of their ‘Acrylic Nude’ & ‘Gel Fantasy’ nail packs about a month ago (before the promotion) because I wanted to see what they would look like on my nails.  I’ve been loving a subtle french manicure look, but it’s difficult for me to give myself a nice precise white tip…so in my mind, sticking on some false nails is the quickest & easiest option.

♥  There’s also a 3-for-2 promotion on all Tangle Teezer hair brushes (review) – I love the original Tangle Teezer, but the new one called ‘The Ultimate Finishing Hairbrush’ with the handle is my absolute favourite.  I use it on wet, damp, and dry hair – it really is a winner!

♥  Selected Lee Stafford hair care products are on promotion, buy any 3 selected Lee Stafford products and get the cheapest 1 FREE.  Last year I tested their ‘CoCo LoCo’ range of products that contains coconut oil (a natural nutrient that provides the essential proteins required for nourishing and repairing damaged hair).  I really liked the range and found it helped my hair look & feel smooth and silky.  Another Lee Stafford product I love is their ‘Hair Growth Treatment’ (review).

♥  All HASK hair care products (shampoos, conditioners, treatments, hair oils) are also part of the 3-for-2 promotion.  My 3 favourite ranges from HASK is ‘Nourishing Monoi Oil’ (review), ‘Mint Almond Oil’ (review), and ‘Repairing Argan Oil’ (review) – so definitely check those three out!  If you’re looking for a really good clarifying shampoo, then their ‘Charcoal With Citrus Oil’ range (featured) is a good drugstore option too.

♥  The Oh So Heavenly Beauty Sleep collection is also on promotion, buy any 3 ‘Beauty Sleep’ products and get the cheapest 1 FREE.  I actually placed an online order this past weekend to stock up on my ultimate favourite linen spray, their ‘Beauty Sleep Wish Upon a Star Pillow Mist’ (review) because my local Clicks was sold out.  If you checked out my IG story last week, you would have seen I currently have 10 empty bottles of the pillow mist waiting to be featured in an ‘Empties’ video.  Trust me, you NEED this linen spray in your life – especially if you enjoy slightly sweet lavender scents (even Neal loves it).

♥  Garnier Nutrisse Hair Colour is currently 30% OFF – I recently posted about their at-home hair dyes (review), so I definitely need to visit a Clicks store to scoop up my favourite colour…R69,95 is a total steal!

♥  Mix & match promotion on all Eucerin skincare products, 3-for-2 promotion – I really like their ‘Hyaluron Filler’ range because it contains a combination of short- and long-chained Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and plump up the skin.  I’ve also been using their new ‘Elasticity + Filler Facial Oil’ non-stop lately, it’s incredibly nourishing (with ingredients like argan oil and vitamin E, how could it not be?) and leaves my skin feeling soft and plump.  I like to use it at night when my skin needs the added moisture, and sometimes I add a drop or two to my daytime moisturiser to give it a boost.

♥  Selected Avène products are on a 20% OFF promotion – If I were you, I’d definitely check out their ‘Tolerance Extreme Cream’ if you have extremely sensitive skin, or their ‘SPF50+ Mineral Cream’ if you’re looking for a really good SPF that will protect your skin against the harmful rays of the sun.

♥  Save 20% on selected Bioderma products – You guys know how much I love my Bioderma Micellar Waters and I’m happy to report their ‘Sebium H2O Purifying Cleansing Micelle Solution Combination To Oily Skin’ is one of the products that is on sale for R159,95.  Remember, the Bioderma Micelle Solutions are not like the other micellar waters you can purchase from brands like L’Oreal, Sorbet or Garnier – mainly because Bioderma has put a lot of research & development into their products to create a formula that is suitable for even sensitive skin types.  The gentleness of their micelle solutions is truly something special, and yet they still do an amazing job of removing all makeup products (foundation, mascara, eyeliner, lipstick).  What I also like about my Bioderma Micellar Water is that it leaves absolutely no residue on the skin, that means it doesn’t clog my pores causing breakouts.

♥  Selected products from the Vichy Normaderm (for oily blemish-prone skin), ProEVEN (corrects pigmentation), and LiftActiv (anti-ageing) ranges are also on sale for 20% less.  To be honest, from those 3 ranges I’ve only used products from the NORMADERM range and I really enjoyed the ‘Gel Cleanser’ and the ‘Hyaluspot Anti-Imperfection Care’ spot treatment.  I hope the Vichy Pureté Thermale will be on promotion next time because I’ll buy every single product – I LOVE that range!

♥  Garnier has 2 promotions on a selection of their products, some products are 20% off and others fall under the 3-for-2 promotion.  If you’ve ever wanted to try their BB Cream (review), now is your chance because it’s on sale for R98,95.

Clicks Beauty Fair

♥  My beloved Bourjois CC Cream (featured) is on sale for R168,00 (SAVE R41,95)!  This is definitely the best CC cream I have ever used – the coverage is full, the finish is a beautiful satin-matte finish, plus it lasts very well throughout the day.

♥  All Real Techniques Makeup Brushes are part of the 3-for-2 promotion – so when you buy any 3 Real Techniques Cosmetic Brushes, you’ll get the cheapest 1 FREE.  This includes the Miracle Complexion Sponge (review), plus their luxurious Bold Metals brushes (review) too!

♥  The amazing L’Oreal Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation (review) is also on sale at the moment for R159,95 – I adore this foundation and even featured it in my ‘Affordable Makeup Starter Kit + Makeup Tips For Beginners’ blog post earlier last year.  In fact, I love it so much I’ve already gone through 3 tubes…which is saying a lot because I own a drawer full of other foundations.

♥  Save 20% on the Wet n Wild Megaglo Contouring Palette (featured) – I prefer the ‘Dulce De Leche’ duo because it is a little bit more cool-toned (perfect for creating natural shadows & adding structure to the face).

♥  The Yardley Eyeshadow Quads are on sale for R116,95 – I actually bought one of them a few weeks ago because I want to feature it in an upcoming video.  There are 5 quads available, I bought ‘Wanderlust’ because it contains nice neutral shades with a pop of gold shimmer.  If you’re looking for something that is similar to the Morphe 35O palette, then check out the ‘Dynasty’ quad.

♥  Save 20% on selected Max Factor products, one of which is the Max Factor ‘Pan Stick’ foundation stick – I have been using this product to cream contour for the last 2 years.  It’s my favourite affordable cream contour product, and the shade ‘Cool Copper’ is the perfect shade for fair / light skin tones (and because it’s a foundation product, it blends out like an absolute dream).

♥  All Eylure Lashes are 3-for-2 so stock up on your favourite false lashes, ladies!  My go-to lashes are the ‘101 Volume’ lashes (review & featured) and the ‘Urban Tropics Rough Utopia’ lashes (featured) but if you’re looking for something a little bit more wispy, then check out their ‘117 Texture’ set or the ‘035 Lengthening’ set.

That L’oreal foundation is my ride or die…I’m also on my 3rd tube now. Awesome round up of the promotions for us! Thanks so much <3 What is the pigment and quality of the Yardley quads like? That Dynasty quad sounds like it's right up my alley shade wise.

    Hi there

Your blog is definitely my go-to place for makeup in general, I love your fair reviews and your thorough testing of products! Thank you!

Just an FYI for those of us who are trying to reduce our spending (that’s me!)

You can get a 500ml Bioderma Sebium H2O Purifying Cleansing Micelle Solution at Dischem for R294.00!!! The normal price of the 250ml is over R200 so I think this is an absolute steal. Clicks does not sell the 500ml, only 250ml, i went to the Gateway branch of Clicks on Sunday and the Bioderma was not on sale, nor is it on sale on their website.
