Affordable Skincare With NIVEA Q10PlusC + GIVEAWAY

NIVEA Q10PlusC Review

We all want radiant, healthy-looking skin with a natural glow…right?  Heck, I know I do!  Today I’d like to introduce you to a new skincare range from NIVEA – and the best part?  You get powerful active ingredients with a price tag that won’t break the bank!

NIVEA understands that because of busy schedules and on-the-go lives, most women are prone to feeling tired or exhausted.  And unfortunately our skin suffers because of this, leading to a dull & sallow complexion.  Because of this, NIVEA recently launched a new range called ‘Q10plusC Anti-Wrinkle + Energy’.

This new skincare series combines powerful antioxidants, Coenzyme Q10 and pure Vitamin C, to give tired & lacklustre skin a natural boost of energy and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.  There’s no better feeling than waking up from a full night of restful sleep (am I right?  Or am I right?) – your eyes sparkle, your skin looks glowy, and your mind is clear.

Vitamin C is a powerhouse antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals (one of the main causes of skin ageing).  When added to your daily skincare routine, Vitamin C provides many benefits ranging from evening out your skin tone, to significantly improving hydration, and keeping your skin looking younger for longer.  When used over an extended period of time, Vitamin C also helps create firmer-feeling radiant-looking skin and you’ll find spots disappear and fade at a faster rate.  And lastly, this anti-ageing superstar also helps reduce irregular pigmentation and promotes healthy collagen production.

Vitamin C is supported by Coenzyme Q10 (and oil-based Vitamin substance) which occurs naturally in skin but as we get older, the body produces less and less Q10.  Adding Coenzyme Q10 to your skincare routine will benefit your skin in the following ways:  As an essential energy provider it supports important processes in the cells – from cell regeneration to collagen synthesis.  And as an antioxidant it fights free radicals and keeps cells both inside the body and in the skin healthy.

NIVEA Q10PlusC Skin Sleep Cream

While we sleep our skin absorbs moisture better and any damage to the skin is repaired up to 8 x faster than during the day.  The beauty about the new NIVEA Q10plusC Anti-Wrinkle +Energy Skin Sleep Cream is that it gets to work while you’re sleeping.  Oxygen is vital for skin cells to function optimally – if cells are starved of oxygen(which happens when we’re exposed to pollution and environmental stressors), it starts to look sallow and dull.  It’s very important to boost oxygen supply to the skin to kick start metabolic functions and regeneration process so it looks fresh and energized.

Did you know?  When you’re tired the stress hormone Cortisol is produced, which leads to the breakdown of collagen, resulting in a loss of elasticity and thus accelerating the ageing process.

NIVEA’s Q10plusC Anti-Wrinkle + Energy Skin Sleep Cream increases oxygen absorption of skin by up to 50% (proven in vitro) – it’s almost like a breath of fresh air for your skin that stimulates energy production while you sleep.  It also contains Panthenol and Shea Butter to intensely moisturise the skin, but here’s the kicker: It feels nice and lightweight on the skin thanks to the refreshing cream-gel formula.  This night treatment is suitable for all skin types (except sensitive skin) and all ethnicities.

I’ve been using this product for about 4 weeks, and I already saw an improvement in my overall complexion by the second week mark.  It has definitely evened out my complexion, plus I wake up with refreshed and glowy skin.

If you’re in the market for an affordable high potency Vitamin C product with added anti-ageing benefits that work while you catch some Zzzzzs, definitely check this product out!

Even though the NIVEA Q10plusC Anti-Wrinkle + Energy Skin Sleep Cream contains a stabilized version of Vitamin C, it remains vulnerable and will break down if routinely exposed to air and light. If you want to get the best possible results from your antioxidant-enriched skincare products, then buy only those that are packaged in opaque tubes, air-restrictive bottles, or pump containers so the ingredients remain stable after you start using the product.  NIVEA’s Skin Sleep Cream is protected by air-tight aluminium packaging, ensuring the Vitamin C won’t oxidise under light or oxygen exposure.  Kudos to NIVEA for putting some serious thought into every aspect of this skincare product!

NIVEA Q10PlusC Daily Moisturiser SPF15

NIVEA Q10plusC Anti-Wrinkle + Energy Day Care SPF15 moisturiser also combines the aforementioned highly effective antioxidants – Coenzyme Q10 and stabilised Vitamin C.  The lightweight formula absorbs quickly and revives my skin (and my senses, thanks to the subtle citrusy scent), leaving my skin instantly refreshed and moisturised.

This is one of those daily moisturisers that won’t interfere with your makeup products (there are some of my high-end ones actually don’t play well with some of my primers and foundations), and will create the perfect hydrated base for makeup application.  It revives tired-looking, sallow skin and adds a healthy glow to your complexion.  Let’s not forget about the anti-ageing benefits of the antioxidants (reduction in fine lines & wrinkles), plus you can count on the SPF15 to protect your skin against the UVA / UVB rays of the sun.

The NIVEA Q10plusC Anti-Wrinkle + Energy Skin Sleep Cream and NIVEA Q10plusC Anti-Wrinkle + Energy Day Care SPF 15 retail for R169,99 each.  You’ll find the at your local Clicks and Dis-Chem, or at other leading retail outlets and pharmacies nationwide.

I know going into summer I will need something that won’t interfere with my makeup on those hot days! Nivea makes awesome products and especially in Durban, we have very humid days which tempt us to skip out on the heavy moisturisers. I want to try this as your opinion is very much trusted. The more attention I pay to my skin, the worse it seems to get. 🙁 creams and foundations don’t work together and I either shine like the north star, or flake like I’ve had a chemical peel! I’d love to see how these products ‘play well with foundations ‘ 🙂
