12 Days Of LUSHmas | Day 8 – Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb

LUSH Luxury Lush Pud

Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb is probably one of my favourite LUSH Christmas collection items because it looks so darn festive!  It may not resemble Nan’s Christmas Pud, but to be honest, who likes fruit cake anyway?  I don’t…

The very first thing I noticed about this beautiful Bath Bomb is that the body features an array of rainbow colours, with the added benefit of having a tiny holly decoration on top.  The base is a bright pink shade, with a powdery white top – such a delightful little pud!  Luxury Lush Pud is also studded with colourful polka dots that float to the surface of your bath water, creating foamy pastel islands.

Sharing it’s scent with LUSH’s best seller Twilight Ballistic, Luxury Lush Pud offers a fragrance that will calm and soothe the senses.  The magnificent aroma of calming lavender oil, sweet tonka absolute, soothing benzoin resinoid and floral ylang ylang oil, will help to banish tension – the perfect pre-bedtime bath product for those days when you’re feeling a bit stressed.  Sweetly scented tonka absolute is an anti-inflammatory, great for treating joint problems.  Warming benzoin resinoid deeply cleanse and soothe skin, ease muscles & give the skin a sweet, lingering vanilla and balsamic aroma.  Benzoin also gives skin a protective film, preventing moisture-loss.

I was mesmerised by the show Luxury Lush Pud put on for me – it frothed and fizzed on the water’s surface, spilling pastel colours out as it danced around the bath.  The rainbow colours eventually disappeared, leaving behind a magenta pink colour with soft foam on top.  I don’t think it’s the most hydrating of Bath Bombs but I just slapped on a layer of body butter after my relaxing bath & I was good to go!  I actually paired it with the Sorbet Sleep Rescue Deep Sleep Body Butter and found they work really nicely together as both have a slightly sweet lavender scent.

This colourful Christmassy pud gives you a bang for your buck because it’s one of LUSH’s bigger bath bombs (almost the size of Dragon’s Egg), so you can definitely cut him in two generous sized pieces.

Sit back, relax and enjoy this fluffy, frothy end-of-day soak, forget your worries and prepare to slumber off to the land of nod.

Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb retails for R 48,50 and is currently available in the LUSH online store, as well as in-store (Cavendish, V&A Waterfront, Canal Walk and Gateway).

P.S.  Mince pies are definitely my preferred Christmas dessert, so I am hoping LUSH will feature some sort of Mince Pie Bath Bomb / Bubble Bar next year.  Here’s what I think they should create:  A snow white outer shell decorated with an embossed gold star, featuring layers of red OR green (not red AND green as this will create a muddy-looking bath) inside and when you get to the most inner part, there are golden shimmers with star-shaped popping candies.  What do you think?
